This dollhouse/building set is a larger version of other sets I've previously received. It's made for kids to assemble, by way of plastic rods, connectors, and rooftops. The walls/flooring are plastic frames that are part of the build, and they have cardboard inserts with printed graphics and protective coatings. The inserts are the least durable part of this set, but they can be wiped clean. There are multiple ways to build this set, like doing one large mansion, or a few smaller buildings. Kids can pretend the buildings are stores, schools, hospitals, etc. My set came with 5 dolls, but they all have the same hair/eye color -- the outfits are the only difference. They're hard plastic with vinyl heads, and have basic posing ability. The furnishings are mostly budget quality, but have decent detail and cheery coloring. Some are made of slightly flexible plastic, so they don't break if dropped. Other pieces, like the pool and umbrella, are made of thick, hard plastic. If you look at the 5th photo down in the listing, it shows measurements. They are correct for the dolls, and the house measurements will vary, depending on what is built. It's pretty accurate, but the box measures 13 x 9.6 x 7.4 inches, just so you know if you plan on sending it. The light strand takes 2 AA batteries, not included. The box says for age 6 and up, but I think as young as 4 could manage this toy with some basic instruction on how to connect the parts.
