I would like to amend what I wrote below to say that the seller stands by their product. It didn't work for my aggressive chewer, but the seller offered a refund. Considering the many times I've had to argue with sellers who flat-out misrepresented what they listed to get any refund without a huge hassle, this was a welcome change. My husband actually told me in the first place we should keep this away from the dogs because we live in Maryland where crabs are famous and this thing is so cute!! He wanted to put it on a shelf as a decoration. (For once, I should have listened. It really is that cute!) ********** I was hoping this one might have been a little bit sturdier. I have a two-dog household -- shih tzu and golden. They can play with things like this together only for a short time, before the golden wants to tear it apart -- then I have to take it away and give them something else, saving it for another day. That approach only postpones the inevitable. Eventually, I hear the familiar "rrrrrip!" of the golden retriever tearing the toy, then find the shih tzu trying to eat the fluffy stuffing, and have to wrestle the toy from the big guy. I put it back on the shelf of "toys for another day" that are by now all torn up, imagining I'm going to sew them back together at some point. (Ha. I lie to myself.) I know other dogs who baby their toys, or act ferocious toward them but don't destroy them. For dogs like that, this is really cute!

Good squeak on this one! My sog loves all the dangley arms. Great value too as it's pretty well made! Stitching is good and it feels solid. Cute as well! For my gentle chewers this is wonderful!

I have a 60lb GSD mix and he is NOT a very aggressive chewer, so I thought this might work. He loves it. He picks it up and carries it around the house by one leg. The squeaker didn't last very long, but it's not the worst squeaker I've ever gotten and honestly...I don't miss the squeaker making noise in my house. Now, it's not as durable as I would have liked. It's well-made, but the materials isn't as tough as I was expecting in a chew toy. If your dog is remotely aggressive or likes to "disassemble" chew toys, I wouldn't recommend this one.

I was surprised by this one, because I didn’t think much of it, but the dog loves it. When you throw it in the air, the arms go out like a frisbee. He loves it! It looks pretty simple, but it seems pretty durable. He chews everything up pretty quickly but it’s lasted for a while. In the picture you can see that it’s a little chewed but it’s still going. I would recommend this toy to a friend.

I love that this toy is large with long arms- when playing with puppies you need that length to protect your hands from those little needle teeth- and that does just that. It is pretty durable- I’d say for a minimal to moderate chewer.

My dogs enjoy playing with this crab. They love finding and making it squeak. They also love playing tug-of-war with it. It is very durable standing up to their rough play.

As noted in the information here, this is not normally a good toy for aggressive chewers. But I got this for our 175-lb. Great Dane because he just adores plushy toys. Mostly, he likes to dismember them, but then he’ll carry around the skin for months as his soothing toy. This one was a massive hit with him right off the bat. That’s because the multiple legs make this a great toy for playing tug with your dog. It also makes it a fun toy to play fetch with because the legs can cause it to land in unexpected places if they catch on or brush past something. This results in our dog having to occasionally go on the hunt looking for it, which gives us a momentary much-needed break. The squeaker and stuffing were out within a few hours, but we’re still having tons of fun with crabby. The lack of potentially harmful parts (such as hard plastic eyes on some dog toys) on this toy make it an even more welcome addition to his toy box.

Our puppy doesn't love this toy, but it's interesting and she likes it okay. As a themed gift I can see it being fun for the humans as well.
