I bought my son a clear backpack for his high school. By the second quarter, both mesh side pockets were ripped off, the zipper seam had ripped apart from the plastic, and the bag had a strong musky / moldy smell due to the fact that every time it rained, water would drench the inside of the bag (and all his notebooks) through the (intact at the time) zipper seams, because they were very wide and made of a thin fabric. This bag arrived today and he said that this is the brand most of his friends have and that their bags never get wet on the inside. I can immediately tell this bag is MUCH more heavy duty than the one he had, it’s larger, and the side mesh pocket is super reinforced, so although I won't be surprised if my son figures out how to break it, I know it won’t happen anytime soon.
