If you are clumsy, these are the best things to drink out of because they have a wide base and will not spill or tip easily and the weight is in the bottom, and if you happen to break one somehow it isn't glass. Beautiful color (rose) but it has more of a khaki clay pot look to it which is perfect! Packaged very well. The safety measures in manufacturing are quite impressive which was the number 1 reason for my choice in purchasing these over everything else I saw. The reviews being 5 stars is just as important. These mugs are gorgeous. The rose sand is subtle with a light tan inner glaze and brown rim accent that makes beverages feel richer. The 12 oz size is perfect for dessert teas and has a nice heft, without being too heavy. The handle is small, but fits three of my fingers easily. I picked the item for the size because I have bigger and smaller stoneware and wanted something in the middle size.
