It's the funniest thing, but I took this teacup to work with me, and literally every time I use it, I get complimented on it. It's just so pretty and delicate. It's breakable, of course, but I haven't had any problem washing it (by hand). The detail work is beautiful and the colors are vivid. It's relatively thin glass - nothing like holding a heavy coffee mug - so if you're drinking something really hot, you will definitely feel the heat. However, it's smaller than a traditional mug so it doesn't get as heavy as a mug either, and I haven't had any problems just holding it by the handle. The cups have a good weight to them and the spoons look cute with the set. I got everything from the cup to the spoon and a glass cleaning cloth.
