I debated about spending the money on these, but now I can say with complete honesty that I am glad I did! When they arrived, I compared them with the ones I have from a discount store and these are far superior. They are larger, heavier and completely clear - no blue tint as in the lesser quality mugs. My family and I use these for hot chocolate and other special drinks because they hold a lot and look beautiful when served to guests. We also regularly use them for soups when we skip a meal at the table and indulge in a good movie. I have had similar mugs that the glass was not sturdy and the pedestals shattered with slightest impact. these mugs are much sturdier and a perfect size!

TL;DR - recent reviews about poor quality are correct. I would not purchase this item. I have had very good experiences with this product in the past. I've purchased these glasses several times over the past 10 or so years. Prior purchases were not on Amazon. Over time, I would inevitable break a glass here or there (my fault, not the quality of the glass). Because I trusted the quality of these glasses, I purchased a new 6-pack of these glasses in 2020. They matched the high quality of the older glasses that they were replacing. Again, I inevitably broke a few glasses (my fault, not the quality of the product) over the last 2 years and decided to "Buy Again" on Amazon in early 2022. Despite seeing recent poor reviews of the product, I went ahead and purchased the same 6-pack that I had purchased 2 years prior based on my past experience with the quality of this product. The first box that I received in my recent 2022 order contained 1 chipped glass and several other glasses where the base was warped (wobbled on the counter) and the seams in the glass were rough. Amazon processed a return and promptly shipped me another 6-pack. In the new package, several bases were again warped which made them wobble and seams in the glass were again very rough. Out of the 12 (2 x 6-packs) that were shipped to me, I could barely put together 6 glasses that were "acceptable" quality - and shipped back the remaining poor quality 6 as part of the return. Over the last month, I've had to additionally throw away 2 of the 6 new glasses due to chipping in the dishwasher. In summary: I have been very disappointed with the recent quality of this product. Same versions of this product that were purchased in 2020 and earlier were excellent quality. Recent purchases of this product were poor quality. I ordered these because I had had a couple of them in the past. They are the perfect size and are very durable. However, two of the mugs had small imperfections, one was a little crack and one was a little round area that was not smooth on the outer body of the glass

Bought them in 2018 and just broke the last one. Soon as I did, I came here to buy a new set. They are sturdy, don't break easily, handle is in the center so it doesn't tip much when you pick it up. I have limitations with my hand so that is really important to me. Can't wait til my second set comes! ... show more

I really like this set of mugs, but one of them has a manufacturing defect resulting in a rough/jagged area around the base of the mug that is rather sharp and poses a risk of cutting fingers. The glass on this one mug is also warped and it wobbles when placed on a flat surface. I had already washed them before noticing this defect and I'm not interested in returning the entire set when I would just like one mug replaced. For anyone else interested in purchasing these, please inspect for defects before use. The rest of the mugs are in excellent condition and we use them every day. ... show more
