I've had this bag since 2022. It surprisingly can hold a lot. It's been through graduate school and work conferences, on planes, different states and countries, and now I wear it everyday on my one hour commute to work. The bottom now has a 1 cm tear so I'll probably buy it again in a couple months

The back pack is nice. Good quality fabric and I comes wrapped up in plastic and folded. When I saw it unfolded I thought "oh this is too small" but don't be fooled by the first look. Once you start putting things inside it expands and it has room inside for everything. Shoulders straps are comfortable too. I liked this item very much. Just 4 stars bc the main zipper it's difficult to close once is fully opened and the front zipper has to go all the way to close it, I wish it was two zippers instead of one.

I bought this backpack right before flying to Europe. After going through customs at the Barcelona airport, I paused to move my passport to the “secret” pocket before proceeding to the metro. I considered moving my wallet or cell phone there as well, but was concerned I would need them more accessible. I took the airport metro to the end of its line and proceeded to navigate my way to the other metro line I needed to take. Being Europe, this involved hauling my luggage up and down an annoying amount of stairs. A man “helped” me carry my luggage down the last flight. The train was waiting. I got on and saw that the outer pocket of my backpack was unzipped, which was odd. I was pretty sure I had zipped that. Then I checked my coat pockets. My helpers had helped themselves to my wallet and cell phone. But they hadn’t touched the secret pocket with my passport. I needed that passport to check into every hotel in Spain as well as to board my cruise. I managed to return home to the US with just my passport as well. My airline printed my tickets on request at the airport. When I got home, the DMV just needed my passport and social security number to issue a replacement driver’s license. Thankfully in Europe I was meeting up with family (it took an hour and a half for them to find me since I couldn’t text) so people kept me fed and paid for taxis and took all the tourist photos I couldn’t. That secret pocket is no gimmick. Even if the zipper pull is peeking out, that part of the backpack was either flat against my back or against my luggage handle. Pick pockets like easy prey they can get to without anyone noticing.
