Top Amazon Reviews

🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The exercise bike under review seems to be generally appreciated by users, with several key features such as easy assembly, quiet operation, and adjustability being regularly mentioned. However, some issues were raised regarding comfort, durability, and occasional squeaking at higher resistances. This exercise bike appears to suit those looking for an easy-to-use, home exercise option.

Pros

  • 🔧 Assembly is generally manageable, with all nuts and bolts pre-placed and clear instructions provided.
  • 🔇 The bike operates very quietly, allowing users to engage in other activities like watching TV or holding conversations while exercising.
  • 👌 The resistance is adjustable, offering a range from easy to challenging levels.
  • 💺 Some users found the seat to be comfortable.
  • ➰ The bike is foldable for easier storage and also comes with moving wheels.

Cons

  • 🪑 Some users found the seat uncomfortable, needing additional cushioning for longer use.
  • 🔇 A few users reported that the bike starts squeaking after some use, particularly at higher resistance levels.
  • 💪🏼 The bike pedal dislodges when back pedaling, leading to a need for frequent reconnection.
  • 📏 For users with very long legs, the bike may not allow a full leg extension.

Should I Buy It?

If you are considering an affordable, easy-to-assemble exercise bike for home use that provides a quiet and variable workout, this product might be a good fit for you. However, take into account some concerns about seat comfort, and the potential for noise development. It might be a good idea to look into utilizing a warranty or additional seat cushioning if you decide to purchase.

  • Up and pedaling in under an hour! Good product for the price.
Color: Blue
For starters, let's put this review in perspective. I'm female, over 60, with bad knees. I can manage a screwdriver, drill, and very basic maintenance and assembly, but I'm not going to build a shed or change an electrical outlet. So, when reading this review, keep that in mind. When this arrived and I looked at the assembly diagram, I was immediately horrified. The first page of the manual shows the "exploded" diagram of the control panel, and I thought I was going to have to assemble it piece by piece! Noooooo! But no. Not the case. Really, the manufacturer shouldn't lead with that in the manual!! The box contained several major pieces, and the nuts and bolts were already in place, loosely connected. I didn't have to identify various nuts and bolts from a mixed up package. Remove the nut and bolt (and washer) from one of the parts, put the connecting piece in place, then reconnect the nut and bolt (and washer). Really, all I had to do was put the seat, bases, handlebars/screen, and pedals on the body of the bike. The package includes an alan key and a small wrench, so I didn't even need my tool box! Woo hoo! It is VERY VERY quiet to pedal! Almost no noise at all. No problem hearing a television or audiobook, or holding a conversation while pedaling. The resistance is easy to set, and ranges from easy to "pedaling through thick mud." The screen is very basic, but easy to read. Distance, RPM, time, and pulse are mostly what I'd be interested in anyway, and it provides all of that. I believe that pedaling powers the screen, but two batteries are included in the box. Perhaps those allow the screen to remember time and distance. Not sure. There's even a place to hold my phone so I can listen to a book or music while I pedal! I found that the bike did not scoot around the (wood) floor as I pedaled, so I didn't need a mat under it. It didn't rock side to side, either, so I felt quite secure. Only a couple of negatives, in my opinion. In the recumbent position, the seat back is a bit too reclining for my preference. Nothing a pillow behind my back won't fix. The seat back does not adjust, so the recline make sense in order that it is in a good position for "upright" bike position (not recumbent). The manual shows assembly diagrams, but little else. You're on your own to figure out how the screen works, I think. A person with very long legs might find that the pedals don't allow a full leg extension. It's about enough for me, but when I'm on a gym-grade (or high end home-grade) recumbent bike, I find I prefer a more extended reach than I get on this one. Those bikes are MUCH more expensive, heavier, and bigger. This one does just fine for my purpose. The bike does fold up, so one could tuck it into a corner, but it's not going to be inconspicuous. There are little rollers on the bottom of the base, which engage when the bike is tipped to be moved or stored. That's a great help. The weight of the bike helps with stability (good!), but the weight does limit how easy it is to move around. I can move it on my own, but it won't be something I'll do every day. Getting ON the bike can be a bit challenging for me. I suppose I could mount it like a horse - put a foot on a pedal and swing the other leg over - but that's not really going to happen. Instead, I step over the center of the bike so one leg is on each side, then get onto the seat. Even in recumbent position that center piece is rather high for a short person with bad knees. In the "upright" bike position it would be somewhat higher. I'm not sure how this style of bike (collapsible and adjustable) could be other than how it is, but that first step is a challenge. All of the above considered, I recommend this to someone looking for a basic home exercise bike ... show more

  • Good But Showing Flaws
Color: Blue
My fitness instructor recommended bikes like this one as a good entry level into biking. After having it for a while, it's now starting to show some flaws. Would still recommend as a good start. GOOD -Pretty good adjusting dial for both sitting and relaxed biking position. -Dial for controlling resistance. -Seat adjustment -Solid metal MEH -Took about 2 hours to put it all together. -The seat is not all that comfortable but will do. -Instructions didn't say how to reset the data from previous sessions. You have to hold the button. -The wheels are really small and do not work at all with carpet. You're better off carrying it than trying to roll it. BAD -The inner packaging was not ideal. When I opened the box, a few screws and washers fell out. These could've fallen out at any time given how the tape was barely holding the box closed. -The wheel squeaks at higher resistance. Specifically 7 or higher. It never did that before, but almost a month after purchase and it's squeaking pretty loud. ... show more

  • Nice Bike, Intermediate Assembly
Color: Black
So far, my family is enjoying this bike. But the "easy assembly" description is deceiving in my opinion. My parents (they're in their 70s) and I assembled it together, and it took us about two hours. I do appreciate that all the hardware was in place, ready to remove and reattach during the assembly process. The written directions are very clear and easy to follow. But the video goes a bit too fast, and watching a young woman in workout clothes do the whole process alone might cause someone to attempt the same and become extremely frustrated. The job really requires two people. The end result is great though! ... show more

  • I'd love to hear from the company
Color: Black
This product was perfect in a pinch, I have been utilizing it off and on for the past 18 months. PROBLEM - cannot back pedal because the bike pedal then dislodges and eventually you have to keep reconnecting it. Eventually the treading went bad, and now I am back buying another bike, because I have not been provided a solution or a replacement pedal, because that is really all I need. ANYWHO, I guess I got what I paid for. If you buy make sure you get a warranty. ... show more

  • Do not stand up in this
Color: Black
Not for standing. Have to sit. But the seat is comfy and you do get a good cardio workout. I used it on a trip so it is very portable and lightweight. I can handle it on my own and I am 5’5 and a female.

  • Decent but uncomfortable
Color: White
Assembled fairly well with all the hardware. After using it a week I couldn't do more than 20 minutes due to the seat. I'd rather sit on a block of wood. Hard and uncomfortable, had to put a memory foam pillow on it and now need to search for a seat to buy. It folds up but isn't the easiest to do so, luckily I have enough room to slide it to the side of the room. It has wheels but you have to tip it so far over to engage them it isn't really worth it. I have it on carpet though, hardwood I wouldn't drag it. It began creaking after 5 days and tightening the bolts did nothing. Other than that it's very quiet. I'm 170 lbs and the fact that it's so uncomfortable and already is creaking at every pedal is upsetting. I hoped for better but spend a little more and get something of better quality. *UPDATE* Customer service reached out to me and after a few messages I have decided to add another star back because they were more than willing to help me. After finding a gel seat cover (which is difficult to find that fits the ultra-wide seat) it is a little more comfortable. Still, I have a hard time sitting for any longer than 30 minutes - now part of that is because the seat cover isn't the best either. Whatever I ended up doing has fixed the creaking issue. It might have been something else I tightened or just the continued use it worked itself out. I've added another star back. So 4/5 stars. ... show more
