I've been a die-hard user of Glossier's Balm Dot Com for the past couple of years and was extremely disappointed with their recent reformulation. I decided to try Lanolips lip balm, because it was recommended to me on the Glossier subreddit, and overall, it's a pretty good substitute. While it doesn't quite match up to the BDC I loved so much, it does have similar deeply moisturizing properties which I imagine comes from the lanolin. The watermelon scent is very subtle. The main issue I've encountered with Lanolips is that it can be difficult to squeeze out the right amount depending on the temperature. (I keep this in my car, so part of it I'm sure is because of that, but still.) Sometimes it comes out too much or too little, which can be frustrating. The consistency is not as slick as BDC, but it still delivers a nourishing and hydrating feel. I have also tried Mario Badescu's lip ointment and prefer it slightly over this one, but Lanolips is a close second for me. First of all, I absolutely love the thick texture and rich moisturizer this gives! It is far and away my favorite lip mask and it helped my dry chapped lips from the winter cold and winds. I bought it in Coconutter. It has a slight coconut scent. That said, it is .44 of an oz and I paid $13.95. I ordered it on Dec 10 and received it Dec 14. Today is Jan 3 and I’ve already run out. The main ingredients are lanolin and lanolin oil. I ordered a 7 oz jar of NOW pure lanolin and it is equally as moisturizing with no scent. The 7 oz jar was $9.99 making it FAR more cost effective! If you want something you can throw in your purse or put in your pocket, Lanolips will certainly work. But know you are getting less than half an ounce compared to a 7 oz jar for under $10. I have a couple of lanolips tubes for my purse and now have the NOW 7 oz jar next to my bed. I will definitely reorder the NOW. If you’re looking to get more bang for your buck, buy the NOW jar. My lanolips lasted me exactly 3 weeks making it quite expensive! ... show more

If your lips become drier than the Sahara during the wintertime, give them a wonderful magical little moisture moment with this lovely little tube. It truly works wonders and stopped that annoying peeling of my lips. Yes, the tube is a bit on the pricy side but a little goes a long way. I apply morning and night and it works like a dream.
