We have memory foam mattresses throughout our house and although we love them, they are essentially giant sponges that absorb a spill or leak. And, we have kids and pets so we have our fair share of both. After having to deal with a recent spill, I realized that we did not have an extra mattress cover, which is a real problem because you want to go ahead and re-do the bed without waiting on the wash cycle, especially when something happens late at night. Thankfully, this wasn’t the case but I took it as a warning. I promptly ordered this one after searching, didn’t wanna pay a lot since it was going to be an extra. That being said, This one is just as nice as more expensive products. It has deep pockets so it will fit over all of my beds in the house including those with toppers. Despite having that subtle feel of a waterproof protector that’s in higher quality products, it still has that softness of a mattress pad while in use without feeling rubbery or plasticky. It also wash as well. I bought this is just a cheap back up but I will happily put this in the rotation, and I have peace of mind always having an extra. ... show more
