It’s a soft yet not ce stretch materiel. The neck is holding its shape but isn’t too tight. The only issue is that it is very long so there is lots of extra fabric if you tuck it in and it is too long to leave untucked.

I absolutely LOVE turtlenecks and I have one in every solid color but finding nice soft print ones that aren’t silky or flimsy at an affordable price has been hard to find. I’m nearing 80 and my neck is quite wrinkled and I also get very cold. I like to layer these under a sweater or sweatshirt in the winter. I grabbed this one and when it arrived, I found it to be perfect! My girlfriend loved it too so as she drives me around a lot and won’t take gas money, I ordered another one for her. She’s never been a turtleneck fan but as soon as she put this one on, she has become a turtleneck fanatic. Great buy in every way. Oh, it washes and dries perfect as well.

I've always been a been fan of Land's End. I have faith and respect in the quality of their clothes. They have always worn well. I hope as much for this turtleneck. I read the reviews before ordering so I wasn't too too too surprise when I received it. It is comfortable, fits nicely, but I find too thin.....something I have never seen in a product from Land's End so this was a disappointment. I was planning to wear this under sweaters on my trip to Europe so it will served my main purpose, but I had hoped at some point to wear it without it just being UNDER a sweater. I'm not a shy person, but you can DEFINITELY see my complete bra under the turtleneck shirt. I will just have to be sure to wear a pretty white bra underneath, or skin color. I just don't think they advertised it completely. They should had said "thin and see-through'. For what I paid, I'm disappointed but not to the point of returning. It will definitely serve me when wearing under shirts or sweaters. It just limits me not to be able to just wear it as a shirt by itself.

Bought this to layer under a sweater, IMO this type of cotton blend fabric is much lighter and more comfortable for such use (vs 100% cotton, which is too heavy and warm), but also looks nice on its own.
