Color: 80: The More the Cherrier (Pink Fuchsia)
Lancôme is very well known for being a quality makeup brand from what I know about them. I've tried a couple of eye make-up products from this brand in the past--though never a face product so I wasn't sure what to fully expect with this. I ordered this in the shade "The More The Cherrier" which is a pink fuchsia shade. I'm not sure why I was sent "Pink Oh La La" instead which is a light pink. Even though I was sent the completely wrong shade I still wanted to try this out for its formula. A very light pink shade typically isn't going to be very pigmented but as far as application goes I did find that this blended out very easily. The formula is very sheer and buildable at the same time--you could get away with blending this out with pretty much anything whether that be a makeup brush, sponge, puff, or even your hands directly. This isn't really a shade that would work on medium/deep skin tones but if you're light/fair and prefer light pink blush shades then this would probably work for you. I finished up with the rest of my makeup products including powder over the whole face and a setting spray to really seal everything in. I wore this for around 6 hours without any issues of patchiness for where I applied the blush onto my face nor did it separate at all either. I'm certainly a fan of the formula--though not so much the color.... nor the price. This does blend super easily and is buildable but if I ever reorder I would go with one of their deeper or orange shades. That however, is a personal color preference and what was most important to me was how well that the formula was since I could simply choose another color shade if I ever rebought. Definitely note that this is a bit up there in pricing with it retailing for $38 at the time of writing this review. Not my favorite color, but the product is indeed long-lasting without any issues concerning makeup separation throughout the day. Overall I would give this a 2/5 stars for a couple of reasons. The formula itself is decent and that's why I didn't give this a 1 star. However, the main issues here are that I was sent the completely wrong color, also the price is is definitely way more than I would usually pay for a blush. I don't normally spend more than around $20-$25 at most for a liquid or powder blush.

Lancôme is a French beauty house that’s been around since the 1930s, known not only for timeless makeup but also for really investing in the skincare side of things. Their products usually strike that perfect balance between elegance and performance, so whenever they launch something new, I already have high expectations. So, this new Skin Idôle Juicy Liquid Blush absolutely lived up to them. I’ve been testing it in two shades—Pink Ooh La La, which is a cool-toned baby pink, and Over the Coral Moon, a delicate coral. Normally, I stay away from corals because they can pull too orange or just look a little too loud on my fair skin. However, this one is aptly described as “delicate” because it blends out into the most flattering warmth without ever looking harsh. The pink shade is equally lovely, giving me that fresh, natural flush that just makes me look healthy and awake. Both shades work beautifully on my fair complexion, but I think the coral especially would suit a wide range of skin tones because it isn’t too vivid or overpowering. Formula-wise, this blush really stands out. It’s creamy, weightless, and blends like a dream. I also appreciate that Lancôme infused it with skincare ingredients. There’s niacinamide to help brighten and even things out over time, vitamin E for a touch of antioxidant protection, and pro-vitamin B5 that leaves it feeling a little more nourishing than the average blush. So, while you’re getting a gorgeous flush of color, it doesn’t feel heavy or drying rather it feels like it’s melting right in all while giving you a healthy complexion. Now, the pigment payoff is strong enough that you don’t need much, but it’s also buildable, so you can control how bold you want to go. I’ve learned that the best way to apply it is to place few dots on my cheek, tap it gently with my fingers to warm it up and melt into the skin, and then finish by diffusing the edges with a brush. So far, that gives me the most seamless, natural look. It does work with different tools depending on your preference, but I personally avoid a sponge with this one since it tends to absorb too much product. On me, this blush lasts well throughout the day and plays nicely with foundation and other makeup layered underneath. It doesn’t fade away or go patchy, and it still looks fresh hours later. Overall, I think this is a total win! The colors are beautiful, the formula is foolproof, and it really delivers on both wear and comfort. Honestly, I’d happily pick up more shades because it’s that good. Lancôme really nailed it here, and I don’t think this blush will disappoint anyone looking for something fresh, blendable, and flattering.

The Lancôme Skin Idôle Juicy Liquid Blush (Shade 40 Mauve to the Groove) is my second experience with liquid blush, and I’ve been using blush for more years than I care to admit. Powdered blush has been my go-to, so I was skeptical about how well this liquid blush would work. However, I was familiar with the Lancôme name. As it turns out, I’m impressed with Lancôme’s Liquid Blush. I particularly like how hydrating it is, especially on my dry skin. I’ve reached my 50s, so my skin tends to be drier. The blush I was using previously lacked the Niacinamide, Vitamin B5, and Vitamin E that this liquid blush has—all hydrating components that I may find in my skincare products. It’s a bonus to find them in cosmetics. Secondly, at my age, powdered blush tends to settle in pores and lines, giving a cakey appearance as the day progresses. However, I was able to blend the Lancôme blush effectively, resulting in a glow without appearing oily or settling in the wrong areas. In my opinion, applying it on a brush is more effective than directly applying it from the applicator. I simply took my brush and dabbed the applicator a bit. Initially, I was doubtful about how long the bottle would last. It seemed small for the cost, which is significantly higher than pharmacy store cosmetics. However, my doubts were quickly dispelled. The first time, I tried just a small amount near the inside of my wrist, as you can see in my included photograph. This tiny dot went a long way, and it’s the same for my face. When applying it, you only need a dot or two! I definitely wasted some of my first application. I paint with acrylics, and some paints are very rich in pigment, while others skimp on pigment. This blush is very rich in pigment, which is a good thing. In part, this is why it doesn’t take much. The Mauve to the Groove color may be too dark for everyday wear for my skin and hair color. I’m blonde and fair. Pink Oh La La (Light Pink) would probably suit me better. But, I still have been wearing it with warmer colors and going into fall. Just wearing it lighter. In the end, it is very evident The Lancôme Skin Idôle Juicy Liquid Blush is a quality cosmetic.

Shade reviewed: 30: Over the Coral Moon (Delicate Coral) Skin tone: Light medium This is a easy-to-use blush with great colour payoff, and it is comfortable on the skin. Given the colour payoff efficacy, do note that it takes practice to get just the right amount to show up on your skin for your liking. Pros: Comfortable on skin (not sticky/tacky) Great colour payoff Versatility -- you can get a light flush or layer it for a more vibrant look Lightweight texture Easy to spread on skin Allows for enough time to move product around on skin before it dries Value for money -- a little bit goes a very long way Con(s) Colour payoff could make this tricky to use for those new to makeup (could post as a steep learning curve) I've consistently used it for a month now and it is still my go-to. I find that the best application method is by using my fingertips to tap and diffuse the product onto my cheeks. The texture is similar to that of a lotion's so it is easy to move the product around on the skin. There is no smell that I can pick up on so this should work for those sensitive to fragrance in their makeup. This lasts a good 6 hours on my face, especially when paired with a setting spray or finishing powder. Also, I have noticed my cheeks feeling smoother with consistent use, which is likely attributed to the niacinamide in this. This would work best for those who are not new to makeup. However, for those makeup newbies, here are some words of assurance -- the learning curve is steep but short. Just practise, practise, and practise. While this is pricey ($38 at the point of this review), it is worth every dollar, and I highly recommend it.
