This cast iron wax really did the trick in seasoning my beloved Matfer carbon steel and Lodge cast iron skillets. I just wiped the wax on with a clean lint free cloth, put into a 480° oven for an hour 3 continuous daily sessions, and voila a beautiful golden Matfer and a gorgeous black Lodge.
