We use this to shoot a soccer ball, mainly for building power, but we also have put a goal outline for occasional placement shots. It has plenty of strength to withstand plenty of hard shots. And while it doesn't really give you a hard rebound like a tight net would, it does more or less roll it back out. I will say that repeated hard shots will eventually make the velcro across the bottom come undone, but it's not a huge deal One thing to understand is this is not designed to be put up and left out in the elements. The thin vinyl where the fiber glass poles are inserted is thin and will wear quickly if left in the heat and sun. We leave the main stand (the pole across the bottom) out since that's the biggest pain to set up, break down, and store. After a couple of weeks some rust spots have started to appear, further strengthening the idea that no part of this is meant to be left out. ... show more

    • A decent solution for stopping lacrosse balls from running away
This is an excellent solution for stopping lacrosse balls from running away or flying far into a park. We use ours as a backstop for a rage cage 5x5 lacrosse goal and let kids fire away at it. It has taken hundreds of shots and is having some structural issues in the netting. They tear at the seams quite a bit. But as I said, we use this a lot and did not expect a cloth and netting device to last forever. The setup is fairly easy. It has tension in the left and right arms that keeps the netting fairly taut. Wind will cause it to tip, so make sure not to lose the u-bolt footers that you drive into the ground to support the feet. The bag that this comes in is an afterthought. It is poorly made and our fell apart after only a few uses. I sewed seams and tears that happened because the cloth is not nearly robust enough to hold the heavy metal components. And some of the metal tubes have no caps so they are rough and sharp at the edges. They will shred your bag, especially if you use this backstop in multiple locations. Once the bag shreds apart you cannot easily carry this around and it loses its usefulness as a portable backstop. A good product designed to be portable but not so portable when the cheap bag used to carry it gets destroyed. ... show more

Highly recommend this net and this company. It is very easy to set up and provides a great deal of coverage. I use it to create two practice hitting lanes during softball practices for the travel team that I coach. For the price, I could not possibly be happier with this product. would’ve given it 5 stars but it had a hard time standing up without something heavy holding the ends down. As well as if your don’t put zip ties on the bottom claps, the net often falls when you practice shooting those low shots. Overall a very good purchase for my son though.

    • Net can tear with hard shots
Love the coverage of the net in the backyard. I have two of them, but the tears easy on a shot near the seams. Unfortunately, an angled shot hit the seam near the right pole and put a hole in the net. This happened on both nets I have leaving me to buy the second one for longer overlap. If it hit right the net will fail. Trying to figure out if I put in poles with a heavier gauge net to stop the 90MPH lacrosse shots. That being stated this net is a good buy just need to find the replacement of the net. ... show more
