Description

Stylish atomic digital clock is packed with many features and offers modern look to add to your living room or kitchen. Outdoor temperature display receives wireless data from weather-resistant transmitting sensor within a 300 ft (91 M) range, down to -40 F. Large, 2 inch tall time digits set automatically to your time zone selection and adjust to daylight savings, all on an easy to read LCD with calendar display & moon phase. Clock indicates active alarm, WWVB signal, and low/weak battery with adjustable display language. Mount clock onto wall or fold-out leg stand to place on table. Troubleshooting Steps: To Power up: Insert 2-AA batteries into the sensor, then into the clock. Observe the correct polarity. Configure basic settings. Hold the SET button for 3 seconds to enter settings menu. Use the +/- buttons to adjust and SET to confirm. Setting order: 1. Language: English | Español 2. Beep ON | OFF 3. Atomic ON | OFF 4. DST ON | OFF (Daylight Saving Time) 5. Time Zone 6. Hour 7. Minutes 8. Year 9. Month 10. Date 11. Fahrenheit | Celsius Factory Restart: Returns the atomic clock and remote sensor to an “out-of-the-box” default state and often resolves an issue. 1. Remove batteries from remote sensor and atomic clock. 2. Press one of the buttons on the atomic clock at least 20 times to clear all memory. 3. Verify that the atomic clock is blank before proceeding (there may be lines painted on the screen that will show when there is no power). 4. Leave both units without power for 15 minutes (very important). 5. Insert fresh batteries into the remote sensor, then into the clock. 6. Press the TX button on the remote sensor to transmit RF signal. 7. Keep the remote sensor 5-10 feet from the atomic clock. 8. When RF connection is established, the temperature will appear on the clock. Allow the remote sensor and atomic clock to sit together for 15 minutes to establish a strong connection. 9. Do not press buttons for 15 minutes. Note: For optimum 433MHz transmission, place the remote sensor no more than 330 feet (100 meters, open air) from the atomic clock. Be sure the outdoor sensor is mounted vertically.

  • Great-looking, great performing product!
Style: Digital Clock Size: 11.10 x 1.14 x 6.61 inch Color: Cherry
Lots of good to talk about here. The first thing to talk about is how the product looks, and it looks great. The faux wood and brushed plastic work surprisingly well together to produce an understated good-looking appearance. The numbers are bright, crisp, and sharp -- very very easy to read for everything except maybe the month and day, which are a bit more compressed. But since those are the two least important pieces of information on this clock to me, I don't mind at all. The included temperature sensor is accurate, and has an excellent range. I'm particularly impressed by the fact that both the clock battery state and the temperature monitor battery state are both included on the display, so you can see in advance which need to be replaced and when. The battery life on both have been terrific for me. I've been using the set for several months now and I haven't yet had to replace the batteries on either the clock or the sensor. Everything else about the product is as you would expect, including the super-accurate clock, plus a superfluous but fun moon phase. All in all, a great product and one that I can recommend highly! ... show more

  • Great look, works well
Style: Digital Clock Size: 11.10 x 1.14 x 6.61 inch Color: Cherry
Really looks nice on the wall. Everything works very well. I wish there was a wind speed on it but other than that easy read and perfect size to see across the room.

  • It was easier to set than I expected
Style: Digital Clock Size: 11.10 x 1.14 x 6.61 inch Color: Cherry
However... I'm convinced that the indoor and / or outdoor thermometer are not accurate. The entire unit sat in my office for 6 hours or so, but the "Indoor Temperature" and the "Outdoor Temperature" differed by 3 degrees F. That inaccuracy is why I deducted a star. The unit comes with quite spartan instructions (8 small pages). It doesn't need detailed instructions, but I'd like to understand the different symbols that are visible on the clock, but not explained (e.g. the Broadcast symbol above the seconds seems to mean it got the radio signal; however a right arrow next to the outdoor temperature means what? My guess is that the temperature is "steady"). The manual is written in actual English - and not poorly translated as much electronics are these days. It does seem to be tracking the "atomic time". I coarsely set the time yesterday and overnight it corrected and seems accurate to-the-second (comparing to time.gov, for example). We have a small "atomic" clock by Seiko that is maddeningly difficult to set and use. I was a bit worried that this unit would be similarly painful... But it was not... you should be able to figure out how to set the time and/or alarm with no instructions at all. And that's the way it SHOULD be! One feature that is interesting is the keeping of the high and low temperatures. I just checked to see if we got down to freezing last night (we didn't, it read 39 as the low). Others have reported that it eats batteries pretty quickly - especially the outdoor sensor. I've only had it a little more than 24 hours, so will be paying attention. One downside of the unit is that it's not backlit, and there is no back light button or option. In dimmer light it is difficult to read. Mounting/desktop use: It has 3 triangular holes in the back - theoretically the left and rightmost ones could be hung on nails or screws - however it sits out from the wall about an inch. I have it hanging via the center slot on a nail, but using the buttons on top like that is a little dicey. It also has a "kick stand" to stand upright on a desk. STRENGTHS: Easy to set. Tracks time accurately. Large digits. WEAKNESSES: No backlight / hard to read in dim light, or at a more than 30 degrees off axis Temperature seems to be off by as much as 3 degrees F. ... show more

  • La Crosse Tech Is the best!
Style: Modern Size: 6.75-inch x 11.1-inch x 1.14-inch Color: Silver
I have been using La Crosse atomic clock/weather displays for almost 20 years. My original clock still works like a charm but the outside sensor went bad and they dont make a replacement anymore. So I finally bought another one and settled on this one. This thing is awesome. Atomic time is deadly accurate and even has a digital seconds display, has the indoor/outdoor temp just like my old clock did, has the date, and the display is just the right size and easy to read. The clock is very stylish in person (pic doesnt really do it justice) and will fit any decore. The clock can be hung up or it can be placed on a desk, shelf, or nightstand and has an alarm (have not used that so I cant comment on it other than I know it has one). It has a clear battery level indicator, moon phase, and the little arrows beside the temp displays indicate the direction of the barometric pressure. The only thing I could think of that you could do to improve this clock would be to have a lighter background with darker numbers like some of the brands amazon carries (like the Sony big display clock). Just a really cool La Crosse product I am super happy with. ... show more

  • Large, easy to read numbers from across the room. Great purchase.
Style: Modern Size: 6.75-inch x 11.1-inch x 1.14-inch Color: Silver
This atomic clock looks more modern & has more features than our old one. It was really super easy to set up by following the included instructions in 5 minutes or so. Follow placing the batteries in the correct order in the directions. First place the batteries in the outdoor sensor. Then, the clock. Then, you press & release the set button to manually search for the atomic signal. The tower icon will flash & then turn solid when the signal is found. You do need to do an initial set up on the clock with items like your time zone, daylight savings time, etc...along with the time, day of the week, month, & date. Oh, the buttons to set these are located on the top of the clock. They took me a minute to find. Lol. The numbers are larger & easier to read even across the room. It features a moon phase which is kinda cool. I used one flat head screw to attach the outside sensor to the house. It does not come with one. Also, you will need 4 AA batteries on hand: 2 for the clock & 2 for the outside sensor which was no big deal either. We are really impressed with this atomic clock & give it our highest recommendations. ... show more
