When purchasing this product, I was looking for a foundation version of a CC Cream - lightweight, sheer, moisturizing, but still buildable and thicker like a foundation. I'm not sure that this foundation lived up to my expectations. I accidentally bought the wrong color (super easy online) so that might impact my review a little bit, but I have since switched to the correct shade. I don't really see it being sheer in the way that you would need to do your whole face rather than just sections to blend out. To me, this foundation seemed like it could be something you wear in certain areas rather than a full face of foundation. You can get it pretty light, but it does not stay. More than most foundations, many movements will wipe off this foundation from your face. This is fine with the right color match as it is light enough to not be super noticeable in most places, but it was very obvious near my mouth and nose when wearing a shade slightly too dark. I found myself looking for a setting powder or spray for this foundation which I don't normally find myself doing with others. All this being said, I do really like this foundation - especially for the price point and when my first bottle rolled out of my truck and exploded I did choose to repurchase. I would recommend this but head moderate expectations as I think mine were particularly high.

I’ve been wearing bare minerals powder since middle school (I’m now early 30’s) and I’ve tried switching over to liquid foundation countless times. I really wanted to cream contour but just not in the cards for me. This foundation is amazing, I got a perfect color match after finding the right shade with Sephora color comparing feature. The coverage is awesome. It took me a little bit to learn how to make this foundation look great, I don’t have fancy make up skills. I realized that it looks best all by itself, without primer or setting powder (either too greasy or too dried out) just on a clean moisturized face and it sets all by itself. It wears so nice all day long without drying out or feeling greasy. You can build great coverage with it after it fully dries and you need a little more coverage. I always have to use concealer because I have acne and hyperpigmentation and just need a little extra coverage. This is the only foundation I’ve ever used where I did not need extra concealer for my acne.

I do like using the heavier L'Oréal Infallible, which having middle aged skin is more moisturizing and great when I need a little more coverage. This one is lighter in weight but still pretty good coverage without feeling like you're wearing a mask. Not as light as a BB cream, definately a medium weight. Sometimes I want to smooth out my complexion when I'm just casualing running errands. There was another (old version) Trueblend in the smaller bottle, I hated that one and thought it was too dry and splotchy. This one is better, smoother and a having a few blemishes and discoloration it does cover better than expected. I am warm tone, fair complected. I ordered the W3 and the bottle it looked dark I thought, maybe too dark for me, but when I put it on, it blended great and didn't look that dark. I decided to order a shade darker (W4) and I might use both. Happy to find a foundation that gives some coverage, isn't streaky or dry, and not heavy and oily either. Nice.

The shade I use is so hard to find in a local store. I love the coverage of this product and won’t compromise. I am not crazy about the change to the bottle (now a pump type) but I can live with it as I love the product itself.
