I am African American more on the lighter side and have struggled for years to find the right shade. I even went to a makeup store recently to get help and they sort of matched to my skin, but the foundation they sold me was for someone with a more neutral undertone and mine is definitely yellow. I chalked up that purchase as a fail (Will find someone to gift that foundation to) and tried to look for something that matched me better. I came across L'Oréal True Match and tried two shades: W6 & W5.5 and I think I found what I needed. W.6 is me currently, and I think W5.5 will be me once I get more sun. Buying two shades to try was also much cheaper than the foundation I paid for at the store. I have sensitive skin though, so I'm hoping these won't break me out! ... show more

Absolutely thee best makeup, lite foundation, on the market. Been wearing it for years. The trick is finding out your true hue. Are u more beige, roses, tan? Loreal gives u many options in a (example) C8 N8 W8; Cool, Neutral or Warm. Big difference. This wonderful lite coverage is a perfect base on its own or with a dash of tan glow.. and definitely a lip stain and nice lite layer of mascara and don't touch anything again until you take it off that nite! The foundation bottles appear to be new however neither bottle had the clear lid/top cover. I am lucky the squirt bottles still had foundation inside through transport in an envelope. I was hesitant to use the foundation as they had no top but did. The foundation seems fine but I would very much like to be able to seal them for travel etc. Not sure how I can have them send to tops. ... show more
