I was in a bind because the mascara I had been using for three years began to give me an allergic reaction, but I needed something quickly. I normally get waterproof, but it wouldn't be delivered in time for an interview I had, and my lashes are blonde, so no way was I going without mascara. I opened the package, and was very pleased with the consistency and the thin brush, but there was a learning curve to getting the angle just right. However, I figured it out in minutes. It gave me nice length and separation, and built up beautifully. I was worried with this being washable, that it would smudge off. However, my fears were unfounded, because this stayed on all day and no racoon eyes by that evening. I was able to remove most of it with just water and a wash cloth, and then used a little micellar water to get the rest from my under eye. And no irritation at all. While I prefer a waterproof, I think I'm going to stick with this. Really, the only reason I took off a star was that it's a little tricky getting the brush back in, but it can be done with a little finesse. For someone like me who has to rush a lot of times, it's an inconvenience. Next, I'm going to try the waterproof version! If it's as good as the washable, I'm going to stick with it until they no longer make it. If you're on the fence about buying it, I recommend getting it; there's too many things about it that are good, and not enough negatives to pass it up. ... show more

This mascara is great for me who already has full lash volume, just zero color. This mascara separates each lash and coats beautifully giving my fair completion a nice lash line without clumping or heavy thickening or coating. Lengthens as advertised and washes off super easy - the long wand helps you coat each lash. I use brown-black which is enough color for my skin tone. I have tried countless different mascaras, from the $60 a tube to the $5 ones, and this is the exact brand and shade I always get after trying all the other brands. It makes my lashes very long and a good bit thicker, it doesn't flake and it's easy to apply multiple coats. It has great staying power but it washes off very easily with the mildest face soap I can find or any other method you like to use. My only suggestion would be to make sure that if you use any type of eye cream or moisturizer to keep it on your skin only. I learned the hard way if your lashes have any kind of product on them that this ( really any mascara come to think of it ) will just slide off and smudge to the point I look like a raccoon. Other than that, I highly recommend this for daily and special occasion use. It does not irritate my eyes at all and they are pretty sensitive ... show more

I just don’t get the negative reviews. I have searched far and wide for mascara that I like. This is the best mascara I have found. The only negative is sometimes it flakes and gets in my eye, but the positives far outweigh how infrequently this happens.

I use all different kinds of mascara but this one is quickly becoming a favorite. It is not as easy to remove but comes off with make-up remover cloths pretty well. Does a good job separating and extending lashes.
