  • Impressed!!
Color: Golden Ivory
I'm 44 and my skin has continued to change the past 2 years, getting more dry and seeing more fine lines. I noticed that even with a moisturizer, my face was still dry and my fine lines seemed to appear more. I've never tried foundation with serums or serums by themself either, but I decided to try this foundation after seeing all the positive reviews. I'm glad I did as I love it! It leaves a soft, velvety feeling with the perfect coverage. It can be a light coverage or built up to a medium coverage but I prefer the light. It stays on all day despite touching my face a lot and it just makes me look fresh all day and very natural looking. I don't like a heavy cakey look with my foundation so this is perfect. I bought the Ivory (10) initially and the color is close enough but a tinge too light so I bought the Golden Ivory (20) and mix the 2 in a little silicone container and the color is perfect! It does suck to have to mix the 2 every morning but the color is so on point so I don't mind. Overall I would say if you're having doubts try it... it's inexpensive and honestly a really great foundation. I've used Clinique, Estee Lauder, Bobbi Brown, iT, Bare Minerals, IL Makiage, and many more and this is like magic! Very, very satisfied and will be using from now on. You won't be disappointed! ... show more

  • It's beautiful once you find the sweet spot for skin prep.
Color: Ivory
I'm 49 years old and spent a lifetime wearing minimal makeup. I'm talking some mascara, lipstick and maybe a little bronzer. I quit using foundation when I was 16 and realized last summer that I'd better figure out how to use it again, because I NEEDED it!! Needless to say, learning about makeup at my age was an eye-opening experience, and it was startling to realize that so many foundations made me look so much OLDER after I applied them. So, it's been an ongoing search, and an incredibly frustrating one, at times. This foundation can be gorgeous and produce such a glowing, healthy look to your skin....but you really need to be aware of how you prep you skin and be aware of how to deal with it after it's on your skin. This foundation contains sodium hyaluronate (a form of hyaluronic acid) which is all the rage in skin care and it's now making its way into makeup. Which can cause some real problems if you're not prepared for it. If you live in a dry climate (I do) or it's winter (it is) then the thing that hyaluronic acid (I'm just gonna call it HA from here on) needs to work, which is water, is seriously lacking. It can still work for you though. Make sure your skin is well moisturized prior to application. I'd recommend skipping the sponge, although if you do use one, make sure it's damp....even just a touch damper than you would usually use it. I use a brush AND my fingers.....my fingers in areas where I want heavier coverage and buffing it on with a brush where I want lighter coverage. I also set it very lightly. It doesn't settle into lines and wrinkles like most other foundations. Now it's not going to smooth them out for you, they're still going to be there. What I'm saying is that it doesn't migrate and cake up in them. It sinks into the skin beautifully. The next step, for me at least, is crucial right now, since the air is so dry here. After I've set it lightly with a finishing powder, I hit it GENEROUSLY with a dewy setting spray. It has made all the difference. If it starts to feel dry through the day, I'll give it a quick spritz in that area and that seems to solve the problem. It wears REALLY well, I'd say 8-10 hours. The finish isn't luminous, it's more of a healthy glow that looks really amazing and just seems to get better through the day. I think this is going to be AMAZING this summer when the humidity returns because it's such a lightweight, moisturizing formula and that extra moisture in the air will make using this foundation a breeze. PLUS, I love the SPF in this. That doesn't mean I skip my regular SPF, because for SPF to work you've got to put on a certain amount.....and I don't care what anyone says, there is no way I'll be convinced that this is enough to provide adequate protection. But at the same time, I'll never say no to MORE protection. Ever. The coverage is what I would call a light to medium coverage. I can still see my areas of broken veins/redness peeking through where they are most concentrated. I ordered Ivory as I'm fair skinned (red hair, blue eyes, pasty white skin during winter) and the color match was good. Overall, if you experience dryness with this, don't be afraid to work with it to provide some moisture because the results are definitely worth it!!! ... show more

  • Good, affordable, medium coverage foundation
Color: Natural Buff
This applies like a serum. It's low viscosity but pigment intensive so you don't need much. I definitely recommend a brush or beauty blender. It goes on a tad orange but once settled, the final result looks natural. This is not super moisturizing. It has SPF 50 which is just amazing. Coverage is medium. There is a nice "glow" to it but not over the top and no powder needed. All in all a good option that's not super expensive that I will continue to use. ... show more

  • Such a good find
Color: Ivory
Not thick, but great coverage. Stays in place. Doesn’t look cakey.

  • Okay
Color: Natural Buff
I got the natural buff, but it is darker than what I normally get with other makeup and it has a slight yellow tone. I did notice that it covered well without getting into the fine lines too deep.

  • Almost slightly too sheer, but great
Color: Beige Rose
I bought this after a trip to the UK where I bought a version of this called something similar but with BB cream. I think their formula, same brand, same packaging, might have been slightly different, but I'm 99% sure this is the same product. I ran out when I came home and purchased this. Pros: sunscreen One step to get ready, I do moisturize ahead though coverage is not too heavy smells fine affordable non-drying color blends really well Cons: sometimes gets stuck in my eyebrows, i have to wipe it out, idk this doesn't happen with other brands, maybe because it's creamy?? can look a bit oily, sometimes i have to use a light dusting powder, but it also nice that it's not dewy not SUPER long lasting. I realize I want the stars and the moon, but if I put this on in the am it lasts till 5/6pm then needs either a reapply or I need to do a real foundation. if we are going out at night, etc. This is the LEAST drying foundation I have found and the sunscreen doesn't bother my skin and doesn't have a strong odor. I use the maybelline stay matte powder with it and am pretty happy. Sometimes going out at night to a movie or party I'd like a heavier matte coverage, but the answer is I really need two different foundations then. This is great for every day and I don't "think" it looks like I'm wearing foundation. I'm just trying to even out my skin tone and have light coverage and sunscreen. It's not the holy grail of make up, but for the price it's pretty good. I like it more the il makiage, or just a tinted moisturizer most days. Although I do also LOVE the origins tinted moisturizer with sunscreen. This is more economical though. ... show more
