These are all the rage! Get them as a gift, hide them in a stocking, use them as an easter egg in the yard (or basket), buy them as a birthday gift! They are just as fun to unwrap as they are to play with. My daughter has never been disappointed in what she has unwrapped. Everything is worth having. You can play with them in the bathtub too!! Extremely versatile. Outfit and accessories fit all the miniature dolls. This particular gift is very messy, but lots of fun. I may be cleaning glitter out of my grout for days. The idea is fantastic but the execution just didn’t work quite as well as planned. The glue didn’t adhere the glitter to the dolls outfit very well it just rubbed off even after drying for a couple days. If maybe Something was sprayed on top it would have worked better.     • Messy, glitter doesn't stay.

My daughter loves this toy, but it is messy and the applicator ball doesn't work well. I flock (add the fuzzy stuff) to the backs of jewelry I make, so I am familiar with the process. The glue isn't great and adding layers for the glitter helps but the glitter does fall off even after it dries. If you hate glitter, don't buy this. To add the flocking, a little plastic box and restaurant ketchup squeeze bottle works best. You can use the ball open to do that also. I use acrylic paint before the flocking when I do jewelry because it sticks better and I think that would better for this toy too. It definitely needs a top spray for the glitter. My daughter received this for her 5th birthday. She loves anything L.O.L at the moment. She loves choosing the colors and designing her own fashions. As a parent who has to supervise this toy, it's not all that great. While it's fun watching glitter cover the doll as the ball spins, it's annoying watching all the glitter fall off after the 2+ hours of drying/settling time. We have only used the glitter so far. The clothing is able to be re-glitterized/fuzzed multiple times and maybe that's why the glitter does not stick very well. Our hardwood floors, kitchen chair, dog, clothing, hair, etc has all been glitterized since the glitter does not stay in the ball nor on the doll. ... show more

This is fun, and it’s good that you can wash and redo the glitter. But it’s not as easy to get an even coat of glitter on the dolls or their accessories. The “factory” ended up being just a drying stand for us. To get glitter to all sides of each part, we ended up pouring glitter by hand or shaking the ball ourselves. My granddaughter likes the Glitter Factory, but be warned you will wind up with glitter everywhere. It is impossible for children to just get glitter on the areas desired; as it requires putting just the right amount of glue on just the right places. It is fun, but the clean up is time consuming.
