I’m so glad I bought this appliance! I was nervous given all the back and forth in the reviews, but I watched a couple YouTube videos and I was on my way to using this thing like a pro. It’s great to use on my daughter’s hair with the cool air feature plus I can actually curl my hair with a straightener and not be ripping my hair out!! It’s definitely a great addition and replaced my 3 other straightening appliances (sorry, I see something new and I like to try it out, so yes I buy multiples of the same thing 🙃). But this was a good price for what it can do and if you get stuck, I’d highly recommend researching a couple of videos and seeing if that helps! ... show more

I have always owned a straightener & a curling iron but was intrigued when I saw this. After a TON of reading reviews, I decided to add it to my Christmas list. I just got done using it and wanted to share some pros/cons: PROS: - IT CLAMPS ONTO THE HAIR! - Unlike a straightener, I don't have to hold it closed to straighten or curl. This makes the curl and pull technique super easy. - IT DOESN'T GET TOO HOT ON THE OUTSIDE - This is super different than my curling irons, I can hold the tip and glide the tool down my hair without getting burned. There's enough of a lip around the device so that it's pretty hard to get to the hot plates and burn yourself. - IT'S PRETTY SIMPLE TO USE - once you get the technique down, it's pretty easy to use. And depending how you hold it and how fast you pull it down your hair, you can create different kinds of curls/waves. - IT'S VERY WELL MADE - It doesn't appear or feel cheap at all. The device is lightweight but made of good material and the cord is thicker than most others and comes with a velcro strip to keep it wrapped together :) Now the CONS: - THE BUTTONS ARE IN AN AWKWARD POSITION -- I found myself accidentally turning the temperature up/down as I was using it. I just had to be mindful of where I place my hand. - THE CURLS AREN'T LONGER LASTING THAN WITH A CURLING IRON - This was something that was advertised as possible due to the fan feature, but I didn't notice a difference. The fan did keep the device cooler on the outside though! - THE STAND TO HOLD IT UP WOULD CATCH MY HAIR - again, this is a user error thing where I just had to get used to how to use it, but if I pointed the tool down while using it, my hair would wrap around the stand and pull it, so I'd have to readjust. - THIS IS NOT A WET TO DRY TOOL - I figured it wasn't, but I wanted to point it out for others. My hair was damp when I curled it so some spots I had to do multiple times because it wouldn't curl while wet. OVERALL I'd absolutely buy this again for $60. I haven't tried straightening yet, I worry that it doesn't clamp down on my hair enough to get the straightened look I'm used to, but my hair health would probably benefit from that :P ... show more

There are several brands that have the cool air function, but they are always over $100. Which is fair, a good hair tool is worth the price. But L'Ange has a good name so I decided to try their version of the Airflow styler. I'm really glad I tried it, because it really does work! Usually when I curl my hair with a straightener, the curls don't last all day-they fall into waves after a few hours. Using the cool air function has changed that! The cool air sets the curl as claimed, and the curls lasted all day for me, and into the next day!!! Granted, I use a silk pillow case overnight to help, but still! I am very VERY pleased I bought this and will absolutely recommend it to my friends! Also, if you have longer hair, make sure you buy the "grande" version. ... show more

It works well once you get the hang of it. But my hair is too thick and the curl won't last. I bought the larger size for that reason. Tried it with and without the cooling air and I still can't get the curl to hold. Disappointed that the return period is only about 30 days. Wasn't enough time to try it a few times considering I did not bring it on vacation and then I was sick for 2 weeks. Buyer beware. ... show more
