Unfortunately, I do have fine, thin hair. My hair has been short so I have only been using an inexpensive mini-size flat iron. Now my hair is a little longer so started looking for a new one. Read that ceramic is best for thin hair. I bought this during Prime Days so got a great price. (I saw at Ulta for twice the price). I don't need the hottest setting as my hair is fine. The iron is smooth and does not "grab". One pass through is usually good enough. Hope it lasts as I do like it and would recommend. ... show more

This is the best hair straightener I’ve ever had! And I’ve had a lot. I love the effect it has on my hair and smoothing it, and it even looks shiny. I found my forever hair straightener! The only thing is, I don’t know if it has an automatic shut off, because that would’ve made it even better.

I’ve been using this straightener for about 3 months and have noticed that my hair seems so much healthier - thicker and a lot less damaged which is awesome! I will say … it doesn’t work as well as my old straightener as far as actually styling my hair. It’s good but not great as far as straightening. I also use it to curl my hair and same thing - good but not as good as my old one even at a higher heat setting. BUT seeing how healthy my hair is now makes me overall really, really happy with this purchase. Highly recommend for everyday styling … maybe get something more powerful for special occasions :) ... show more

Matte, but smooth, comfortable finish to the straightening tool. Turning it on was relatively simple and using it was a breeze. The only thing I didn't like was that maybe this tool's finish could come in a different material, because I find that it would get scratched or marked easily. The irons were really good and made it through the 1-pass test for me personally, but I can see why it wouldn't work for certain others. I have longer, straight hair that is on the thinner side and I bought it to straighten and manually curl (although regretting that decision a teeny bit). If you are looking for a good straightener for a decent price and functionality though, this is a good option to try out.
