Third time buying LA Girl The Nudes over the past couple years. With around 25 palettes of varying quality in my collection, high end to drugstore, the LA Girl Nudes is in almost daily rotation. Why? The quality of the mattes, the color selection, and the longevity of wear. I simply love this palette and hope they never stop making it. As a mature lady, this eyeshadow goes on smoothly, doesn't settle in fine lines, and has great pigment. I use an eyelid primer before all my powder eyeshadow application (Flower Beauty, Milani, or Mac painterly paint pot, whichever I'm in the mood for). I always reach for this palette to lay down a base, there's a light peachy shade in here that I just love for this, as well as a light off-white. I am fair skinned, but there's something about this palette that probably would work for all complexions.     • Mostly shimmery neutrals that are pigmented yet blendable
I've worn makeup for years but am new to palettes. I purchased a drugstore one that had pretty, pigmented colors, but the shadows were SO intense that I felt that the wound up all looking muddy on me. This palette seemed like it would be more beginner friendly. I liked that there were several shades in the pinky brown category, which I thought would be more neutral while also working well with my brown eyes. I also liked that this palette comes with a brush and is a more compact size. Plus, it was extremely affordable! I do really like this palette. The shadows have nice pigmentation while also being easy to blend, and I found them easier to apply than the previous palette I purchased. I have experienced some fallout from the shadows. However, the staying power has been very good, although I have been lightly priming my eyes with powder or concealer. The one thing that I would note is that the colors are a bit different than I expected. The product description says that the palette includes "nudes and brights, shimmers and mattes." Well, out of the twelve shades, I believe that only three are matte, and I would not really consider any to be "brights." Also, they are pretty much all nudes, several of which look very similar. There are a couple of shades that have a slight purple-y tone, including the second-to-last one from the right (which I had thought was a dark brown). In the end, this is a very nice palette at a great price that I would recommend, especially for anyone looking for mostly shimmery neutral shades. ... show more

    • Okay, just okay, for the price
I decided to get this for my birthday after seeing amazing reviews on a particular amazon Facebook group. I totally misread the title and thought it was Urban Decay. Seriously?! How silly could I be. I got it and tried it the next day. The light shade I tried to use as a base and it is incredibly white. It is not a softer sheer. On top of looking like a ghost, the powder was very, very crumbly. It is so crumbly it does make it slightly difficult to use without getting it all over the place. The colors are okay, too. I prefer the palette I had prior to this. It also has a TON of shimmery colors which I did not see in the picture. Being in my 30s I feel like shimmer is for someone younger. I would have given it two stars, but for the price it's not bad. I can deal until it's expired and time to get a new one. I wouldn't necessarily recommend it, though. ... show more

The L.A. Girl NUDES eyeshadow palette went above and beyond my expectations. The palette includes twelve gorgeous, pigmented shades, a built-in compact mirror, and an applicator brush/swab. Three of the shades are matte, and the rest are shimmery; all are absolutely stunning and easily applicable with the double-ended brush. No other eyeshadow palette (within its price range), in my experience, beats the quality you are given for such an affordable price. Of course, unlike most high-end eyeshadow palettes at a less affordable cost, you will need to swab the shades a few times in order to receive the maximum quality pigment for each color. I absolutely love the rosey and gold pigmented glimmer shades and feel they produce a gorgeous look in complimentary lighting. The eyeshadows included in this palette are extremely fun to experiment with for various desired looks. I highly recommend giving this product a shot if you haven't already! ... show more
