Great Caliper with a durable case. I use the caliper to check image registration on paper that runs through printers. The measurements are accurate in inches or millimeters. The construction is durable and not easily bendable. Easy to use and reliable. Battery will last a long time. There is smooth movement when using the positioning wheel to expand the caliper. Just received. Very good delivery time. Battery was drained when it arrived. On/Off switch sensitive. Suspect caliper turned on during shipping. Replaced battery with one of 2 provided. Seems like a clean, functional design. Easy to use, though a bit heavy. Large display numbers. Easy to read. Easy to change from mm to dec in to fraction in. Very fine readings for accuracy. I have no reliable means of verifying calibration accuracy available. For my wood shop it will be close enough. Quality seems good. Nice plastic case with battery compartment screwdriver and 2 batteries well secured in case. For $20, before tax, well worth the money for my hobby shop. ... show more

This caliper is my new go-to and my favorite. The digital display, the accuracy, and the different measurements, make this a great tool. Nice and heavy, not cheap feeling at all! The nibs are very sharp..that is my only gripe...they have scratched quite a few marks onto surfaces.

Pros: • Has a large display (larger than most digital calipers) • Has a good user interface and ergonomics • Can display Fractions (along with mm & decimal inches options) • Slides well, has a micro adjust wheel, and a lockdown pin on top • Uses commonly available CR2032 cell • Nice enough case (for what it is; cheap hinge may not hold up over time, however) • Two extra coin cells provided, and a mini guitar pick to aid in opening cell carrier compartment Cons: • Units are displayed to the left of the number • Somewhat heavy, given its metal construction For decades i've been using a plastic, Swiss made, General brand, dial analog caliper. It gets a lot of use, i treat it well, and it has held up well. I use it all the time to determine what size drill bit to use. It's lightweight, and i like that. I decided it was time to get a fractional digital caliper, to streamline my measurements. I have a non-fractional Harbor Freight digital caliper which i rarely use because it uses button cells (which i never seem to have on hand). I wanted a caliper that uses a CR2032 coin cell, and does fractions. It may seem like a small thing, but i really like that this has a dedicated Zero button (placed at the top, where it's unlikely to be hit accidentally), and the power button powers it off immediately. The power button is well placed too; i've never turned it off accidentally. But it's a simple matter to turn it back on, and be immediately back in business. Proper design; what a joy! I recently used another caliper which combined Zero and Power into a single button, and did it in the worst possible way (i.e. you had to long-press to turn it off). I like the three button design of this caliper much better, and like that it turns off immediately when you hit the power button. The large display is quite nice, and one reason i chose this model over the competition. The aforementioned competing caliper also had a large display, but this Kynup displays fractions more boldly, and this caliper's use of smaller numerals for less significant digits actually improves readability compared to the other one (see photos). A minor design flaw of this unit is its somewhat unnatural display of the units on the left side of the numbers. The photos below show the other caliper, and this Kynup below it. (The maroon tinge on the display is an artifact of the camera and natural sunlight. Both display backgrounds, in real life, look like the Kynup's in these photos.) ... show more

Nice quality calipers that were long enough to accomplish what I needed them to. The repeatability of measurement seems to be there, so I can say they're accurate from the repeatability standpoint. I haven't checked them against the national standard, but I have no reason to suspect they wouldn't be accurate from a calibration standpoint.
