I love the fact that it uses a 2032 3 volt Lithium ion button cell battery for extra long battery life. Many use LR44 alkaline 1.5 volt which are easily drained and require constant changing of the little button cell batteries. It has 3 measuring modes as follows, MM, Inches and a fraction mode that is very useful. Well made durable and accurate. Excellent choice at a great price point! I use it mainly for Reloading measurements that must be accurate. I also tried the fraction mode on several Allen wrenches of unknown size and it worked perfectly for that as well. This caliper is better than I expected when I bought it. I thought it would not be accurate, maybe +-.1mm, but it was better than expected, nearly perfect, especially for such a low price point. This caliper even came with a nice blue case to hold it as well as tools for toning it if you need to while also being easy to see the bright blue case if you lose it like the last ones he had. This caliper also came with not one but batteries as well as one already in the caliper. I am so used to seeing battery power products come without batteries that this was a great reflector. Last, this caliper came with a screwdriver just to fix and toon it if needed. ... show more

Easy to use, seemingly accurate and well built. I bought many different cheap calipers in the last years because one that I really liked died. I did not like any of those I bought as a replacement except for this one. This one has large and easy to read letters, slides very smooth, switches off automatically, has a thumb wheel that feels nice and a functioning locking screw. For me that’s all basic functions of calipers but somehow all the other cheap ones dropped the ball in one or more of those functions, but not this one. If I had to say something negative, this is a little bit larger than my favorites and by that is a little more clunky. But for that you get a bigger display and a bigger thumb-screw, so that‘s probably worth it for many. ... show more

I'm always measuring something in working on a variety of projects. I will be using this caliper to meet that need for measurements within 0.001" instead of one I have that measures more precisely. I can keep it handy at the bench without worrying about it. I like the ability to take decimal and metric measurements with one tool and not have to calculate. I also like the "Zero" function. It seems to hold zero well and so far, it does give reliably accurate measures. The tool looks like it can withstand the work environment I expose it to and keep on working. I'm satisfied with the instrument so far and expect it to be continually useful to me. ... show more
