Well it is better than anything made by Radians, all of whom's high end stuff falls apart rapidly, but it should be better for the money. The zipper will fail prematurely and the exterior pockets are stitched with thin thread and will peel off in short order as well. Why then you might ask do I keep buying them ? The interior deep pockets. My fell phone and notebook will never fall out of those. So it aggravates me that the lower exterior pockets have so little lifespan when all I put in them is gloves, not a drill, but I bought a rivet kit off Amazon to extend the lifetime. It makes me grind my teeth that the zipper fails so soon, which means the vest flap gets in the work, but I bought a snap kit to nurse that along. So Kwiksafety mailed me prompting me to write a review. I would think 35 is enough to pay for a good vest that lasts, but it isnt. How about you charge maybe seven bucks nore and YOU rivet the pockets, and provide a metal YKK zipper. I will happily write you a five star review then. ... show more

I bought this to replace my second Radians vest at the end of its useful life (I do concede, I am hard on vests, though). This is one of the few other vests out there that has a padded collar and a lot of pockets. I have had this for about 6 weeks and this vest has already made a bit of an impression on me. However, it is not entirely good. While it has a large number of pockets, their utility leaves a little bit to be desired. While the interior ones are indeed massive, the four exterior ones are fairly small and have next to no velcro to secure them closed (if you have a larger smartphone, you are out of luck). The single "water-bottle" pocket is in an odd location (the Radians has two that are easy-ish to use). Another odd part of the design is that the vest has no mesh in its exterior. Although the interior pockets are useful (phone one aside), the front ones are starting to rip out. Admittedly, the zipper is not a YKK, but so far it has held up. ... show more

    • Good company, better if they learned some lessons.

I've been sporting another one of Kwiksafety's vests for seven months and only had to replace it do to an incident with a crowbar. That vest was primarily made of the company's mesh material, so I believe it's important to note that it has fairly durable material. The godfather vest is made mostly of another material, with little of this mesh. This isn't a drawback as I think it will hold up better than my previous vest. However I do have some worries and complaints. This vest's pricetag isn't purely for the material, it's for the entire vest. The company doesn't seem to understand that hook and loop closures don't fall under the "less is more" theory. They also must not carry very large water bottles, because I haven't been able to find a water source small enough to fit in that designated pocket. Long story short this vest doesn't meet the expectations brought on by the pricetag. Lack of zippers, barely viable hook and loop fasteners, inconsistent sizing, and poor pocket design makes this a regretful purchase. ... show more

Within the first week Velcro ripped from safety vest to secure pockets. Due to poor stitching. And also the bottom left pocket is 3/4 of the way unstitched due to poor stitching. Maybe this is just for looks. And you can point me in the right direction but I plan on working in mine. And would need pockets to function properly. ... show more

The highest quality vest I've ever owned in 22 years of wearing them. Almost a perfect design. The design should have grommets on the collars, but I'll add those myself. The pockets are well placed and actually hold what you need securely. I'll probably buy another one in the yellow in case thats what the next project calls for. The zippers are high quality. The neck padding really helps with comfort, especially if you have some weight in the pockets. I'll never buy another brand again. Well worth whatever I paid. I machine washed it and it didn't hurt it at all. Don't bother buying anything else. It's also made in the USA. Buy it. I bought an XL so I can wear it over a heavy coat, but it still fits well if I'm not wearing a coat. I normally wear a Large. I took the time to write this review so that's saying something. Ok this thing is thicker than the basic vest, I do love the functionality it provides, the back has a raised cushion which is nice on the neck, not cutting into you. What I didn’t anticipate it how warm this thing is, living in Texas we get all weathers in one day so I find myself warm some times and dying the next. I love the durability, does not look or feel cheap, will not easily rip. I’d definitely buy it again ... show more

I'm a Foreman who is constantly on the move, up and down stairs, and in and out of buildings. The material is too thick for summer wear, and the mesh sides aren't adequate enough to provide breathability. It does however have great pockets inside and out. I can put my clipboards tablet, or papers in the rear pocket. The inner pockets are spacious enough to fit a couple cans of spraypaint. I have a Samsung Note 9 so my phone won't safely fit in any of the front, or top inside pockets. I'm 5'6, 155 lbs. so I bought the medium. If you have a stomach 😐 or larger shoulders this will fit well for you, as opposed to occasionally sliding from one shoulder to another. ... show more

I LOVE everything about it, except it lacks a mulitipen pocket. But I switched my pens to clickers and I can hang them on the radio straps on my shoulder. Other than that,I LOVE it and my coworkers admired my new vest and are now ordering themselves one too! If you can come up with a vest with these features that are already on the vest, plus mulitipen holders and a larger cellphone pocket, this would be the ultimate worker's vest.... ... show more
