*See updated review below* Neither my 2021 MacBook Pro nor my new Mac Mini recognizes the Keyboard or mouse input devices. I've checked security settings and other configurations; all devices work perfectly when connected directly to the computers. YMMV I reached out to support and the seller got back to me in a timely fashion through Amazon’s message service, which I was not aware of. I never received an email letting me know they had sent a message, so I did not see it until later. I responded, and they replied quickly, offering to send a replacement. The replacement also had the same issue, so we decided it must have been SOMETHING on my end - though I had all new high-quality cables, SOMETHING was preventing it from working with my setup. The seller provided a refund, and I had to explore a different - but much more expensive - option. Giving 4 stars because: - it is a good switch (worked perfectly for monitors) - I really liked the form factor and remote toggle - customer support was very responsive - initial contact was my fault - and responded to questions/comments within 24 hours (EVERY TIME!) Sad it didn't work for my setup but happy that support made me whole.

Purchased in December 2025, the device worked well for approximately five months. However, it has now developed a significant issue. The unit powers on, and the buttons remain responsive, but whenever I attempt to switch inputs, it freezes. It disconnects from the current device but fails to connect to the newly selected device. This is with all devices, not just connecting to a specific one. The only way to restore functionality is to completely power it off and turn it back on. Unfortunately, customer support appears to be non-existent. Amazon is unable to assist because the product is outside the return window and directs customers to the manufacturer's website for support. However, the manufacturer's website provides no contact information other than a physical mailing address in China. The site also instructs customers to contact the seller through Amazon, but when attempting to do so, Amazon redirects customers back to the manufacturer's website. This creates a frustrating loop with no apparent method of obtaining warranty or technical support. Based on my experience, the product worked initially but failed after only a few months of normal use, and I have been unable to find any viable customer support channel to resolve the issue.

For the price, you simply can't beat this KVM! It has a nice compact footprint, is super-quiet (no cooling fans, etc.), transitions from session to session smoothly with little lag and uses standard USB and HDMI cables (no proprietary KVM cables needed). My main complaint is when switching from host to host the USB devices are connected/disconnected - this causes the sound for "USB Device Disconnected" to be played on the machine you are transitioning from, and "USB Device Reconnected" to be played on the machine you are transitioning to. Of course this is SUPER annoying, but you can turn off these sounds in the Themes on each of the machines connected to the KVM (unfortunately this will apply to ALL USB Connect/Disconnect actions not just those on the KVM). The sounds can be dealt with, but because of the way the KVM manages these devices you're going to see a LOT of USB Device Disconnect/Reconnect messages in your hardware audit log, and of course this introduces a slight lag when transitioning from session to session. My prior KVM (a Belkin F1DP116G) kept signal to the keyboard and mouse on each host machine active (whether USB or PS/2) so this was not a problem - if this KVM could do something similar it would be a HUGE improvement! Gripe #2 is the location of the 3 USB ports, they are all in the front of the unit. Meanwhile all OTHER cables connect in the back. I think it's great to have USB ports in the front for things you might want to plug in and take out (like a thumbdrive), but could you put at least two or three in the BACK so we can connect the keyboard and mouse (and maybe one other permanent device) in the back and not have their cables visible on the front of the unit? Lastly, the unit is powered by a USB-C cable to an AC power adapter. I have this plugged into a power distribution switch on the same circuit as my monitors. At the end of the day I flip the switch to turn off this circuit to power down my monitors and KVM switch - but the KVM still has power! It must be drawing power from the USB cable to one of the hosts (that is up and running 24/7)! It would be helpful if the KVM would power down when the power supply to it via the USB-C cable is terminated. Bottom line: Great value for the price, seems efficient and reliable - but with room for improvement.

Updated review 5/30/26: An update after around 2 years of usage. I've had a consistent issue of the video not connecting when I switch to a different computer. I keep needing to pull out and reinsert the computers HDMI cable to resolve the problem. I have 3 of these KVMs and each one does the same thing. It's a real pain in the butt. I put up with it so long as I didn't see anything that I thought would be much better. Now I'm finally going play roulette and try something else. Yet I want to say the seller did a great job working in with me and I appreciate that. I just wish the product was better. Updated review 7/16/24: The seller reached out to me to resolve the issue. While I can't yet comment on the device's long term reliability, I have to say that the seller did a wonderful job of reaching out to me and spending a good amount of time and energy emailing back and forth to resolve the issue. Changed the rating from 1 to 3 stars. If this new unit continues to work well for a longer term I will modify my review accordingly. I applaud the sellers customer service (and wish more companies had such great service). ------ Initial review: I'm very disappointed. It didn't last long At first it worked well. But just before 3 months, occasionally the keyboard or mouse wouldn't switch properly. However, switching back and forth between computers resolved the issue. A while afterwards, occasionally the video wouldn't switch properly. Now, a bit later, at times I can't get the video to switch at all between various computers - thus rendering the device completely useless. Yet at a later time it begins to work again. I'm powering the unit with an external supply. Using HDMI connections on all 4 computers and the monitor. Running with a 2K (2048 * 1152) display resolution I've tried the following with out success: - Turning the unit off and on - resetting the switch - Switching the computers to different ports - check if it was port related - Switching around the supplied cables - check if it was cable related - Changing the cable going to the monitor - for completeness but I knew it wasn't the issue - Verified all computers work perfectly well when connected directly to the keyboard, mouse and display After reading the reviews and considering what I paid, I expected a much more reliable device. Now I need to throw out this junk and buy another KVM. Very disappointed.
