For someone who is not computer savvy I would say it took me quite a while to figure out how to plug everything in this switch. The instructions need to be more detailed. I was getting completely frustrated. When I finally got everything plugged in the switch worked great. There are two different colors when you press the button to change computers, so you need to remember which color goes to which pc. After you press the switch button there will be a slight delay on the pc you changed to so don't freak out like I did. I thought something was wrong but there wasn't.

KVM's have come a long way! This one is the size of a deck of cards. It came with 2 HDMI Cables, Two USB A Male to Male connectors, and one USBC Charging Cable. Plugged it in to my two computers and now I can easily use my keyboard, Video Monitor, and mouse with either computer at the tap of a button. Took me about 3 minutes to open the box and plug everything in. I had no configuration to do since both computers had already been hooked up to the monitor. Plug and play at its best. One note, when you switch computers whatever computer you are not using "disconnects" from the monitor, so it will move any open windows over to whatever monitor is active.

The media could not be loaded. Cheapest kvm switch I could find and does the job well. I'm using it for USB switching only but I tested video and that works as well. Also can transfer files at USB 3 speeds. There is a delay on switching but it's not that bad. Very simple to use. The light is always on if any connected devices are outputting power even if they are off but I just covered it with tape.

While this absolute piece of junk does work as a KVM switch it will backfeed electricity into your PC both through the USB cables and HDMI cables resulting in BSOD's and ultimately hardware failure. I'd been dealing with nearly undiagnosable (no event logs, no bsod minidump files, nothing) blue screens ever since I started using this thing and was going absolutely nuts trying to figure it out. The second I unplugged this thing everything instantly worked again. At first I thought it was just the USB portion of it that was causing the issues but even just having a monitor plugged into it and an HDMI cord out from it to the PC cause the same issues as it's able to get power through the HDMI output on the monitor. This thing killed two NVMe drives and a GPU before I finally figured it out, under absolutely no circumstances should you purchase or use it, just spend a bit more for a proper KVM box from a reputable brand because this thing will cost you far more than you pay for it.

I have two separate work laptops and three external monitors. The laptops stay closed as their monitors are too small for my uses. Having two monitors for each computer would be ideal, but I don't have the space. I thought this switch was the perfect solution. But it's low price scared me. But, I decided to give it a shot. I am presently surprised. With a simple push of a button, my middle monitor switches from one computer to the other. There is a slight lag while the monitor connects with the new computer and acquires the settings, but that's maybe 10 seconds, if that. All the monitor setting remain as they should be. On occasion, the desktop icons get a bit rearranged. But I suspect that's because the shared monitor has different resolution settings on each computer. I'd give this product 5 stars except for one thing: Although it comes with HDMI cables, they are the standard cables with the same connectors on both ends. However, my monitors require one-way HDMI cables: One end has the standard HDMI connector that has two diagonal corners but the other end only has one diagonal corner. Once I got those cables, the hook-up was straightforward and everything worked great. I definitely recommend this if you have the need to share a monitor with two computers. To be clear, however, the data from only one computer can be on the shared monitor at a time. It is a "computer 1 OR computer 2" arrangement, not a "both at the same time/split screen" setup.

I've been using this to switch between our home computer and my work laptop when I work from home. One thing to note right off the top, and I'm not even knocking the rating for this, but just know that if your using two computers that have a different refresh rates, the switch will not toggle between the two video outputs. Our home PC was older and had a 30Hz refresh. My laptop is 60Hz, so I was still able to use the switch to toggle the keyboard and mouse, but I actually had to run the computer and laptop to different HDMI inputs on my monitor and manually toggle the input. I've since replaced the home computer with a new one, also with a 60Hz refresh and now I'm using one HDMI input and the switch toggles flawlessly. The real reason I'm disappointed with this switch is the performance of the mouse and keyboard. The mouse is fine, if I plug it directly into my respective computers, it works. If I plug it into the switch it is super laggy, if it works at all. Selecting a different input on the monitor is one thing. Having to switch the mouse from computer to computer each time defeats the whole purpose. The keyboard also is laggy from time to time, so when typing it goes out to lunch and a few letters are just skipped when typed. If the mouse worked flawlessly, I'd definitely give this a 5 star rating, but with the issues I have, I can't.

I have 3rd monitor on my work setup that I can switch to my personal computer when needed. This switch has limited ports and only supports one monitor output but the cost reflects that.
