I bought this to replace an older IOGear 4-port VGA KVM Switch. I wanted something that supported HDMI with 4K resolution at 120Hz, but since I couldn't find anything to fit that bill, went with this one (which supports 4K at 60Hz). I also wanted hot-key switching. I also wanted 4 ports, as I sometimes work with more than 2 computers. When I first hooked it up, it didn't work with my initial 2 computers; screens were blank. There was nothing in the documentation (which is pretty limited), but I found the following in the Amazon listing: "You can only connect two computers if you don't have four computers, but if a high power consumption USB peripherals is connecting, we recomand (sic) plug in the power adapter to power the USB device, because only two compputers (sic) connected can't provide enough power for a high power consumption USB device." The Amazon listing has much more information on the setup than what is in the documentation. I had initially plugged in my computers to the 1 and 3 slots on the KVM (like I had on the IOGear), and when I moved them to slots 1 and 2, everything worked. So keep that in mind. I haven't hooked up 3 yet, but I suspect I will have to hook up ports 3 and 4 in order to get 3 working. This seems like a major limitation, and something I have never encountered with a KVM switch before. There is also a slight delay when switching between computers for the monitor to adjust, and when the monitor changes resolution (like when I play a game), but I don't know if that is the monitor or the switch. I'll update this when I upgrade my monitor to 4K. The actual switching is fast, though, so it may be the monitor. Also, for some reason, it sometimes sends multiples of a character when I type only 1 in; for example, when I type the number "2", it comes out as 222. Once I got things figured out, and understood its limitations, it seems to be working pretty well. ... show more

Great for price and works. Would be better if all connections were on the back side. Managing all the cables is neater if it were arranged that way. Can’t complain much more. I just hope it lasts several years.

I have 2x 3440x1440 144hz monitors and this KVM worked to get the refresh rate up to 144hz without issue. You need to use true DP 1.4 cables!! The cables included are NOT! The Amazon Basics DP 1.4 cables work great and are cheap, I would suggest these. This KVM is somehow a fraction of the cost of its competitors and it works great. Size is also small which is a bonus. Update 1: I’ve made sure all cables are dp 1.4 and vesa certified but I’m unable to get flicker free 144hz at 3440x1440. I’ve stuck with 120hz and that’s working OK. Something to consider if you’re looking at this unit. It’s disappointing because they state it’s DP 1.4 but not clear on 144hz at 3440x1440 support. I’ve dropped my review down to 3 stars to reflect. Update 2: Their support reached out to me to help figure out the issue. I think the main issue on my side is that I’m using cables that are too long to handle the resolution and refresh rate. They refunded the cost of cables to compensate. Giving rating back to 5 stars because of their good support, and the issue ultimately was on me. ... show more

I like that this KVM switch has a remote changer, and it feels sturdy. However, out of now where it will click or pop, the screen will just go black for 2 seconds then comeback like nothing happened. I tried multiple cables, unplugging everything, quite a bit of troubleshooting and it still does the issue sporadically. You'd think for the price it'd just work. Will probably return. Edit: I bumped it up a star because I tried 3 different cables that are USB C to DP - the last cable helped to stop the black screen from occurring, but still glitches once in awhile when attached to the Mac. No issues when attached to the PC. I'll keep it for now. Customer Service was nice enough to reach out to see what they could do to help. ... show more

I bought this KVM switch to connect my two computers with two monitors and it didn't work initially. After talking with the support team, we figure it out that Amazon Basic DP to HDMI cable won't work and we need a DP to HDMI adapter (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BPXWZVLK?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details). Bought that and it works flawlessly. Support went above beyond throughout our interaction and they always quick with a reply (the longest I waited between response was like 2 hours). They even offered to send me an extra DP to HDMI adapter for free. Also, there are only 2 DP cables included and it is DP 1.2. Get in touch with support and they will refund the cost of 2 DP 1.4 cables. Highly recommend this product and the team supporting especially Carrie. ... show more

Originally had issues with this product with getting picture with my 3440x1440@144hz. Swapped some cables around at home and was able to get it to work. Reached out to Carrie and she kindly recommended to reimburse the cost of cables for me and recommended I purchase cables that are 1.5m long to ensure it works. Process was easy but just make sure the cables you are using are displayport 1.4 and not too long. ... show more

Among KVM switches this mostly works, i.e. compatible with windows, Linux, Mac, PS5 and remain connected when I switch between inputs. However, every once a while a random key on keyboard will be double/triple trigged even if I only pressed once. I bought the 2x2 DPI KVM switch which uses all DP inputs and outputs. My setup uses 4 DP inputs and 2 DP to min DP output. I have 2 4K Dell U2718Q monitors at 4K 60Hz without any problems. I had a question about output with DP to mini DP and although the seller didn't know whether it would be supported or not, assured me that if there were any problems, I could return it risk free, and if it did work, they would give me a partial refund.
