There's a little bit of a latency that you would expect from the computer trying to recognize a freshly plugged USB - when you press the switch. You get used to it; and it functions very well. I do wish that the cords were a little longer for the computers. For the price I highly recommend.

I don't use the remote, as I am able to position the switch within easy reach. I also don't use an external 5v power supply, as the switch is powered by attached devices. A couple of nits - the included cables are quite bulky and a bit short and the order of the buttons on the switch and the remote is rather unintuitive (1 - 3 - 2 - 4 clockwise from 9-oclock). Otherwise, the switch is solid and fits my needs.

I've had some problems finding a USB3 switch box that works seamlessly with my Wireless mouse and keyboard between multiple computers running Windows and Linux. The problem I've typically run into in the past is that my wireless Microsoft keyboard's USB dongle didn't seem to play nicely with the other USB 3 switches I tried... until this one. This KCEVE USB 3.0 Switch switches absolutely seamlessly between my 3 different computers without issue. Furthermore, the model I received appears to be an upgrade over what's shown: The LED indicator lights are now larger and brighter and the text labeling on the unit itself is greatly improved and no longer backwards (input and output ports used to be reversed). To summarize, this is one of the best products I've ever purchased for such a reasonable price and from my experiences, it's rock-solid and out-performs more expensive switches: 5 STARS! Cons: None.

I bought this device so I could use many devices with one Network device, one SSD or HDD, one mouse and one keyboard. This device allows me to switch my test bench peripherals to many different devices depending on which one I'm currently working on. The quality is decent, the included remote works great, and I've been very impressed. I would recommend this product.

I didn’t even know this product existed! I needed a way to control multiple computers with one mouse and one keyboard. Like. a KVM Switch but not a monitor selector. Bingo, Amazon to the rescue! Perfect! I woke up in the middle of the night believing I was going to have to build one. Less than 24 hours my project was complete! Thank you Amazon!

While the switch worked fine, the buttons are tiny. Both the buttons on the main unit and the remote are very small. In fact the remote is so small you almost need a fingernail to push in the buttons. I returned it for something else.

The good: 1. It has EDID emulation, so your display doesn't reset and reconnect when you switch between computers. 2. It has a nice little button switch to change between computers, so you don't have to use the buttons on the KVM. 3. Comes with some cables. The bad. 1. The Keyboard and mouse seem to disconnect and reconnect when switching. This isn't the case on another brand of KVM that I used previously, but that brand had other issues with the KB/mouse. There have been several times when I switch and the keyboard doesn't reconnect at all. In this case I need to press the button again. 2. Switching is a bit slower than other KVMs I used previously. 3. I didn't receive enough USB cables to connect 4 PCs, but that is OK as I already had some extras. Overall EDID was the most important feature to me. I use a two monitor setup on my main PC, and switch one monitor for my work PC while keeping videos playing on the first PC. Hopefully this KVM stands the test of time.
