Style: HDMI Switch 2*1
Seems to work as advertised. I used it to hook up two computers to my monitor. One was a Kamrui Mini hanging from the back of the monitor and the other was a Raspberry Pi that takes up very little room on my desk. It was very easy to switch the monitor back and forth, but I still had to move the Bluetooth dongle for the keyboard and mouse, so it wasn't that much help. I'll go back to my old setup of having one connected to the HDMI input on the monitor and the other to the VGA input. If all you need to do is switch between two HDMI inputs to one display, this will work. It's just not the ideal setup for me. ... show more

  • packaging is cheap and the remote is wonky. Otherwise good
Style: Dp2.0+HDMI2.1 hotkey kvm
I've had it for about a day so I will update later if things change but for now its pretty good. Since there are so many factors I'll give you the ones that might be relevant to your purchase decisions. I don't guarantee anything but this Testing environment is 2 gaming PC's, one with the ZOTAC RTX 4090 AMP Extreme AIRO and one with the PowerColor Liquid Devil RX 7900 XTX. DP monitor is a Samsung completely overpriced Odyssey G7 28" native 4k @144hz and the HDMI is a much more reasonably priced MSI PRO MP251 native 1080p @100hz. Cons: --The inner plastic that separates the product from the cables is made of the cheapest plastic they could source and is brittle. It was literally breaking apart in the box before the package was opened. -- would be easier for cable management and under desk mounting if all the inputs were on 1 side. not a deal breaker but if you like hiding cables this thing is a mess on your desktop and at best a PITA mounted under the desk. --Remote button seems to be working but not with the included cable. I've been doing a lot of testing on this to figure out which piece is the culprit but so far best I tell, the remote button just does not work on the switch with the included cable. It does work with a different one that I pulled out of my box o cables and cords. I even tried it on another of the same type of switch and no change this model has the wrong combination or bad contacts or something I can't isolate. There are definitely some quality control issues going on with the remote though. Pros: -It works so far -I haven't had too much of an issue with no EDID emulation but I also never had a lot of use for it so my experience and knowledge on this point is limited. It might be because both monitors are running on native resolutions and are separated by connection type, you tell me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. The first monitor is exclusively on DisplayPort and the other is exclusively on HDMI. The first time I switched, the computer with the NVIDIA gpu moved my open windows over to the primary monitor but after that it hasn't happened so I'm not sure what the magic combination is. The computer with the AMD gpu has been rock solid. Stuff stays where I put it even when I switch away then come back later. Again, I'm not sure what the cause or combination is, I just know its working as desired for now I have concerns about overall quality of the device since its obviously a rebrand for another company I've never heard of and it is likely built entirely with parts the lowest bidder/source but so far its doing what I need it to and what it says it will do. ... show more

  • Not a KVM - Just an HDMI Switch with Wonky Form Factor
Style: HDMI Switch 2*1
The Giant Matrix “KVM” switch does exactly what I expect. However make no mistake: This is *NOT* a full KVM switch. This is only a Video (HDMI) switch. It allows users to select an input source (PC, FireTV, Chromecast, etc) to pass through to a single display. But it does not allow users to select Keyboards or Mouses, which is what “K” and “M” in “KVM” mean. I’ve been using it with my low-tech desktop TV so that I can switch between Chromecast and FireTV. The HDMI switch comes with a USB-C power cable, which is absolutely required for the device to operate in my home. There are other reviews that suggest external power isn’t required. I would guess that’s because they’re connecting more modern devices that provide more power to the switch via HDMI. The switch does get fairly warm, but it hasn’t appeared to cause any problems so far. The biggest drawback that I found with the Giant Matrix HDMI switch was the form-factor. With the HDMI inputs and outputs being on opposite sides of the switch, it makes it impossible to keep on top of my desk without cables running all over the place. I’ll probably just use some double-sided foam tape and stick it sideways on the back of the TV. In hindsight, I would have preferred a video switch that has a remote control, or has all the inputs/outputs facing in a single direction. ... show more

  • Works as described
Style: HDMI Switch 2*1
This does not require power despite having power in capability. I tried it both powered and unpowered and found no difference in display quality on a 4K monitor nor did I find any change to hz at 60hz. I do not have a monitor to test over 60hz. Otherwise this works as described. No software control but switch inputs by simply pushing the button on top which has a good tactile click. Would be nice if it had a clearer external indicator of whether display 1 or 2 was activated but a minor gripe. ... show more

  • Great for my Playstation and Xbox
Style: HDMI Switch 2*1
I am a Playstation person. My boyfriend is hardcore Xbox. We have them both mounted behind the TV and it's not easy to access the HDMI to plug on in and then the other. I got this and put it on the TV after it was plugged in with either double sided tape or a command hook (can't remember and can't get my head back there to look). I just reach my hand behind after I turn on the console we are going to use (never use them both at the same time anyway) and bump the switch for it to move over. My consoles can stay hidden and I have one less mess of wire connecting into multiple ports. ... show more

  • Works put port 2 is Glitchy.
Style: HDMI Switch 2*1
HDMI Switch port looks nice and appears to be well made. Unfortunately the sound and video is choppy with one of the ports. Tried switching the cables and the same result with port 2.

  • works great
Style: HDMI Switch 2*1
I was surprised how easy this was to get going. Very simple just click the button at the top to switch between inputs and you don't need an external power supply for the switch. Easy way to switch between to computers.
