  • Flickers at 240hz if you have bad DP cables
Style: Displayport Kvm Switch 1 Monitor 2 Compu...
UPDATE to 5 ⭐: Found that this worked fine at 144hz at first and then flickered at 240hz, but it turns out to have been the DP cables that I was using. I thought I had decent DP cables, but they must have been knock offs. Using the DP cable that was inside this package and plugging it from the KVM to the video card seemed to fix 99.99% of the flicker. Then I decided to get some new top of the line CableMatters DP 2.1 cables and hooked them from the KVM to the video card, and then from the KVM to the monitor, and everything is working great now. Definitely the best KVM so far for high refresh rate. Another thing that I like about this KVM is that when you switch between computers, it completely terminates the video connection to the other computer, which means your 2nd monitor now becomes the primary monitor on the computer that you're not connected to. This is helpful to me because when I used other KVM switches, it would always keep the video stream active enough that the computers thought they had a second monitor connected. This would lead to windows opening up on a ghost monitor that you had no control over, so you would have to switch back to move the windows to the 2nd monitor and then switch back. Also, the MacBook Air doesn't get stuck in 1440p resolution when it is not the active computer, which makes it easier to see/read if you need to look at it while being active on the other computer. Hope that wasn't confusing to read. TLDR; great KVM for DisplayPort and high resolution/high refresh rates! The unit works well, even with a USB-C to DisplayPort from a MacBook Air M2. The odd part is the 240hz seems to work fine when mirroring the MacBook, but the feed to the PC flickers on 240hz. Using 1440p resolution. 144hz works fine. I've put an order in for a replacement to see if it's just a lemon device. Using 8K DP 1.4 cables, swapped plenty of times, RTX 3080Ti, has no problem with 240hz without the switch, so there is something on the switch that is causing an aggressive flicker on 240hz. Again, hoping the replacement works better and then this can be a 5 star review at that point. ... show more

  • Does not work with Samsung Odyssey G7 in 3840x2160 (144Hz) native mode
Style: Displayport Kvm Switch 1 Monitor 2 Compu...
I recently purchased a new computer, and wanted to connect to my Samsung Odyssey G7. I researched various options to deal with the fact that the monitor has only one DP port, and found this DP KVM. On paper it looks great, and apparently lots of folks love it... but it does not work for my setup. I've swapped out cables, tried one machine by itself, verified that both machines and monitor and all cables are working fine... using the cables provided with this KVM so it isn't a cable version mismatch. I hate giving bad reviews, but this product simply doesn't work as advertised. For the record, the Keyboard/Mouse part of the KVM works fine, but that isn't useful without the display. I will be returning it shortly. ... show more

  • Works well with a couple of minor caveats
Style: Displayport kvm switch 2 monitors 2 comp...
Background: been an IT professional for nearly thirty years and used both entry-level and Enterprise versions of KVM switches. The switch has all the necessary cables and works very well, but I noticed a couple of things that lowered my rating by a star. I use a Microsoft Natural keyboard and a Logitech mouse and assign different features to their programmable buttons to speed up repetitive tasks performed on a daily basis. Those functions stop working when I enable hotkey switching but having a selector button right at my fingertips gives me an acceptable workaround. My gripe involves two very noticeable deficiencies in this switch’s capabilities. 1) I spread multiple windows across two monitors that all revert to one monitor after switching from one machine to another. Having to rearrange them every time becomes a major pain especially when having two separate versions of a document or spreadsheet open for comparison work. 2) The programmable hotkeys on my mouse stop working after switching between displays, and I have to disconnect and reconnect the mouse for those hotkeys to become active again. I love having the ability to connect two workstations to a single keyboard/mouse and a pair of monitors, but this is a fairly expensive switch and should never have any of the above-mentioned limitations. The bottom line: this switch works as advertised with a couple of annoying limitations. ... show more

  • Worked as posted specs indicate
Style: Displayport splitter
I've not had any problems with them and problems with any typie of KVM system is usually caused by cheap cables. Suffice to say that you need to pay around 3 times as much for the cables as the KVM system...been there, done that many times and have setup several DP switches. The only ones that failed in execution were the cheap cabled ones. ... show more

  • Frustrating At First
Style: Displayport kvm switch 2 monitors 2 comp...
Using this KVM as intended now but after some frustrations once connecting home PC and Mac. The Mac would not recognize Keyboard/Mouse no matter what configuration they were plugged in. For anyone else having this issue, the Mac machine did not like the Hotkey button being toggled on, which removes some functionality from the device but between the remote toggle and switch on the device itself, it still works well enough for me. ... show more

  • Works great
Style: Displayport Kvm Switch 2 Monitors 2 Comp...
Buying a KVM device can be pretty scary and fraught with quality issues, but this one seems to do what it promises and works great. Extra cables are packed to minimize the chance you will have to shop for cables at the last moment.

  • Works As It Should
Style: Displayport splitter
This switch works exactly as it should. It's easy to set up and you just press the button on top to switch displayports. Have my gaming pc and Mac mini both hooked up to the same ultrawide monitor. PC displays at 144hz and Mac 120hz through usb-c to DP. No issues at this time.

  • Didn't work
Style: Displayport switch
Hooked up with Displayport 1.4 cables, both independently tested at 2k 144hz, and the switch never worked on either port or with different power sources. Build quality of switch felt nice though
