  • Good sound quality at 55 and below
Pros: Decent sound quality and easy connection to phone. Built in controls for navigating next/previous tune and raising/lowering volume. Connects directly to the battery and starter line to only come on with the bike being on so it doesn't kill your battery. Built-in USB charger to charge up your phone/device for those long hauls. Water-resistant electronics are great for all-weather riding. Cons: Not the best at freeway speeds but decent for running around town (in ref. to volume). Price is a bit high for something that can't be used for all types of riding. I put over 20K miles on a bike with one of these and the quality never lessened. There aren't many cons. I know the sound quality isn't as good as the Plex but the USB charger makes it blow the Plex away. ... show more

  • Big sound
Great speaker! Can hear it crystal clear at 55-60 mph with no windshield. Can hear it crystal clear at 70-75 mph with windshield. Lacks bass. Well worth the price paid.

  • Decent, audible sound, easy install.
Kinda took a chance on this after reading mixed reviews...beyond impressed. I was between this and the Plex for my FXBB, figured I’d go this route first seeing as the Plex is over a G with marine quality speakers. Sound quality is exactly what I expected. Nowhere near bagger quality, but audible at virtually all speeds, even with a full face/visor down going 80 on the freeway. If I’m only wearing a half shell and cruising around town, it’s actually too loud IMO. I do have it inside a fairing though, which definitely helps project the sound back to my head. I can see this not working great just sitting in open bars. The sound has no bass, but that is by design. To make such a tiny soundbar audible on a motorcycle, it needs to be heavily eq’d towards hi/mids, so the sound cuts through the wind noise. Even baggers have relatively low bass unless there’s a dedicated sub or low-eq’d speaker (usually behind the rider). That’s just how sound works. Motorcycle audio doesn’t thump, you won’t be able to hear it, and the bass will drown out anyway. Quality audio sources also make a HUGE difference. I’ve had it side by side with a Plex system and it’s only marginally worse which makes me glad I didn’t drop all that cash on one (the Plex has a bit fuller sound though). I might try adding 2 marine speakers with the amp out at some point to beef up the sound a little. Install was a breeze, took about 30 minutes. If you can disconnect your battery and lift your tank, you can do this. It just connects to your battery and then splices into an an accessory wire (I used my rear running lights). I ran the wiring under my tank and then up through my risers with the rest of the factory harness. Everything is included. Only gripe was the mounting hardware and finish is kinda rough - it will easily scratch your bars and the sound bar itself if you aren’t careful. Not really an issue for me, but some people might whine about that. I have some scuffs from moving it around. Bottomline, if you want decent motorcycle audio for a moderate price that installs in under an hour, go for it. It could certainly be $100 or so dollars cheaper, but there aren’t many alternatives - either super expensive custom-ish solutions, or el cheapo junk that looks and sounds horrible. ... show more

  • This Speaker is Phenomenal
I’ve been wanting this speaker for months and I couldn’t pull the trigger because it’s pretty pricey, and what if you spend all that money and spend time on installation only to find out it doesn’t sound that good or you can’t hear it after hitting a certain speed like some other buyers have mentioned? Well, I finally decided to do it after the weather finally broke and I have zero buyer’s remorse. The speaker sounds absolutely awesome. Installation took about two hours, but that’s only because it took time to research things about my bike and figure out how to best run the wiring; if I had to install this speaker again, it would probably take 30-45 minutes give or take. Once it was on, it was as simple as activating Bluetooth on my phone. The speaker immediately connected, and I was playing music in less than 10 seconds. No issues whatsoever. Others have reported not being able to hear their music over 45-50 miles per hour, which was really my biggest concern. My bike is a 2021 Indian Scout Bobber, 1200cc’s with a Vance & Hines Twin-Slash exhaust. Simply put, it’s loud. There is no wind protection at all. I’ve ridden at 85mph since installing the speaker and I can tell you that I can not only still hear music but I can identify the song, it’s not just noise. Granted, at that speed it doesn’t sound great, but I don’t ever ride at those speeds anyway. At 45-50, it’s clear as day with full face shield helmet on. Being able to listen to my music on the bike has definitely added another level of enjoyment to my riding experience. You won’t be disappointed if you invest in this speaker for your motorcycle. ... show more

  • 2011 Harley Fatboy. Incredible Sound!
This has been the best purchase to date that I have made for my 2011 Harley Fatboy (Denim Black). The soundbar matches the bike well. The install took about 30 minutes and was fairly simple. We used a voltage tester and found one of several wires that can be used coming from the battery and installed the provided clamp to tap into the wire. The wires can then be routed very simply under the tank and along side the handlebars. The device looks great installed and the sound is way better than I expected. My bike is very loud and I can still hear it on the interstate traveling 80mph +. Also its worth mentioning that I do not have a windshield on my bike, If i did have one i think it would even sound better. At night the buttons on the speaker are illuminated and looks great as well. The bluetooth connectivity is great and simple to use. ... show more

  • Quit working after first day
Was excited to get this for my wife. Hooked it up worked great first day. After that it would no longer produce sound, it would power up and connect to device but no sound. Contacted seller, no help. Contacted kuryakyn, no help. Bogus speaker, far too expensive to quit working so soon and no help on a product that is supposed to have 2 year warrenty. Even when it did work sound quality was not worth the $400+ price tag. Very disappointed.. ... show more
