I bought this fora couple of rescue dogs. They were out of it within 24 hours. The chainlink is very thin and barely enough to cover the frame. Gate is flimsy. Came home on day to find the pups we out. Thank God this was set up in a spare bedroom. Certainly not for anything but small dogs and not sturdy enough to protect them from predators or from getting out. Truly disappointed as the money is very tight when trying g to save dogs and keep them safe until new forever homes are found. ... show more

I put this together by myself, it was easy to construct the frame and door. I started with the base then I attached the vertical posts to the base and then I assembled the top piece by piece going around the frame. The mesh for the door stretched perfectly and I was able to secure it with the included zip ties and a few wire ties. The downside was that the mesh for the rest of the frame was just a little too short in length but nothing that couldn’t be maneuvered to make it fit. I wish there would have been more wire ties instead of an extra pack of zip ties because you will go through the wire ties pretty quickly to make sure there is no loose mesh to let an animal out and zip ties can break pretty easily. All in all it is a very sturdy kennel for my 1 year old Lab. If you have a good size dog house for your dog I would say to put it in the middle of the kennel because my dog was already trying to figure out how to get on top of hers to get out. I’m 6’1 and the top of the frame, not including the middle where the rain tarp sits, was only as high as my shoulders. ... show more

    • Chain link fabric is very thin
Overall, product is okay. Assembled fairly easily, except for the chain link fabric. The fabric is compacted tightly and definitely requires two people to untangle, stretch and install. It is very thin, guessing about 14 or 16 gauge, instead of more standard 8 or 10 gauge. Link openings are very large, more so than standard chain link at Home Depot. Will work for dogs and grown chickens, but not chicks---they would escape. On the second day I found a couple links on the gate bent and pulled off the frame by my dog. Easy to fix, but regular chain link wouldn't be nearly so delicate. Also, zip ties are used to attach the fabric to framing, except for the thin stainless steel wires for along the bottom perimeter. Much more secure and permanent would be standard aluminum wire ties; zip ties will deteriorate after a few years and weaken so will need to be replaced. Everything else was okay and worked fine. A kennel I bought 15 years ago was much better quality at a cheaper price, but maybe this is the way it goes. This product is okay if your expectations are not too high... ... show more

Over all the concept is great and sturdy. The issue we didn’t find the instructions until last step, putting on the tarp. The center pipe across the top was manufactured way too short so we had to beat the heck out of the brackets to adapt to the new angle you see in my picture. Every pipe that frames the bottom and top of the kennel all had drilled hole sites. The issue was they drilled them identical. So we had to drill our own for opposing sides. 4 pipes are like this so you will need a drill. Most of the metal nipples that snap into those holes where shorter. So they did not fit all the way through the pipe holes to snap into place when connecting the frames. ... show more

We received the item on time and once put up, it was great. The problem is some of the items were not the size they were supposed to be. For instance, the bar that extends to hold the tarp was way too long, so my husband had to cut it. The tarp was way too short, so we had to place another tarp to cover the rest of the top. The bars that clicked in place had the holes drilled on the wrong side, so my husband had to re-drill new holes in the correct positions in order to get the kennel frame connected. Could we have notified the company, sure, but we have two dogs that needed that kennel up and we couldn’t wait for them to send replacement parts. We can purchase a bigger tarp, but I shouldn’t of had to since it was included in the package. So just be sure you have other tools that will help in cutting the metal bars and drilling new holes. ... show more

It’s holding up pretty good. We have had heavy rain here in CA and the tarp held up. We placed a pole just to help the water move off. I like how it comes with extra zip ties. We added them everywhere on bottom due to dog figure if our how to get out. The instructions weren’t clear enough so we went off the picture on website to put together. ... show more

There wasn't even wire so we had to buy more. I contacted the seller they asked for a picture I attached one sent it and they keep asking for a picture. I've even asked for a email to send the picture and they just want to know why I'm not sending it . I have sent it 3 times an they keep giving me the run around. Also it not very easy to put together everything was not labeled as the instructions say. I will find another vendor for future purchases. ... show more

Overall the kennel works great. Easy to put together. Came home from work and my 12 year old daughter had it put together. The one con I have is the door. My dogs have pushed through it to get out on two occasions.
