Bottom line up front: I’m a fan and I’ll be ordering this again. I’ve been looking for something like this forever. In Asia Starbucks offers a similar single cup pourover prouduct called Origami but I haven’t been able to find it in the US. I’ve tried everyhing from instant coffee to Starbucks Via but nothing really comes close to the real thing. I resigned myself to bringing a small french press with me when I travel, until I found Kuju. Pros: freshness, flavor, design, volume per cupo The quality and freshness are great and the design makes it very easy to use. I actually prefer the design of Kuju over the Starbucks Oragami pour over for two reasons. The first is the way it sits on top of the glass. It fits my wide or narrow mouth glasses equally well and fits snugly onto the glass. The second is that the filter pouch is sealed with a perferated tear-off edge. The Starbucks design kind of pops open all at once so I ended up spilling grounds while trying to set up the filter to sit on top of the glass. I really enjoy the taste. I ordered a medium roast and it was well balanced and fit the taste profile. The instructions say to use 8 oz per pour. I’m a big coffee drinker and 8 oz doesn’t cut it for me. Due to the cost per cup, I’ve been reluctant to use multiple packages and just started using more water per pour. I like strong coffee and the boldness of the coffee was sufficient to deliver enough taste despite me using more than the recommended amount of water per cup. Cons: cost At just over $2 per cup, it’s a little more than I preferred to spend. Granted, I’m not using this daily and it’s really for when I don’t have my regular options. That said, I like to drink about 2 cups per day and I cringe a little knowing how much it’s costing me. Again, exception not the norm.

The flavor of this coffee is really smooth and rich. I love the holder that keeps it safely hooked on the mug - just don't use a large (wide) mug. I have this on my subscribe and save order for every month so I can enjoy it as a special pleasure.

This is the best coffee we have found to take with us on our camping trip! We love the taste, it’s light weight, and super easy to make and easy clean up. You do have to pour slowly to make sure the grounds don’t get in your cup so don’t be in a rush, but even at home you have to wait for it to brew!

Was skeptical of these coffee bags at first, but I was pleasantly surprised! Easy to use, and a pretty good cup of coffee, the only thing that was slightly annoying was how small the opening was to pour the water to brew.

This coffee is the BEST coffee I have made while camping!! However I learned the hard way to use a tin or metal type mug because on the ceramic mugs the little coffee bags do not stay. So the first time I made it the bag slipped and ground went into the coffee. However, I will 100% get these again for my camping adventures. So robust and easy and smells and tastes amazing! Nice and Fresh!

I've now tried competing single-portion pour-over coffees from Copper Cow, Tribo, Twin Peaks, Kuju, and Casa (sold in local retail). Comparison follows. Kuju "Basecamp blend - Medium Roast" is at or near the top for sheer coffee flavor. I often drink coffees with milk, but some have such beautiful balance and complexity that the flavor seems wasted (blunted) by milk; those go particularly well with or after food. Kuju is one, surpassing my former #1 "good black" brand (Tribo "Guatamalan"). Both are expensive at $2 per serving in 10-packs (Tribo recently increased from $1.60; Copper Cow is even pricier, but includes condensed-milk packet for the Vietnamese serving style.) Tribo, another top-quality brand, sells several regional and blend coffees in pour-over format; trying a few assortments led to preferring Tribo's Guatamalan just mentioned. Another complex floral medium roast, "good black." B07GD1XJSN Tribo Guatamalan Coffee Pouches Copper Cow has slightly longer Amazon history than Kuju and, like Kuju, is promoted to outdoor enthusiasts (the Backpacker's Pantry camping-food firm sells Copper Cow in ruggedized 2-serving packs). At $3 per serving it's a "luxury" brand; it's also a unique experience with the intense savory Vietnamese-grown coffee and the included condensed-milk ration. Full review: https://www.amazon.com/review/R3EBS22BEXFCBX Twin Peaks, like Tribo, markets several differently-sourced pour-over coffees and is my everyday, value brand for this genre at 60 cents a portion in 10-packs. After trying several of its varieties I prefer Costa Rican and Colombian. (Sometimes black, sometimes w/milk.) B0777RWW96 Twin Peaks Costa Rican Coffee Pouches Casa (bought at local "Ranch 99" Chinese-themed supermarket; like many of these products it's assembled in Taiwan, apparently the center for pour-over pouch manufacturing) also offers different regional coffees. They were inexpensive and not bad; but with the competition above, I'd call it a commodity brand and I haven't re-purchased any.

Makes a great cup of coffee - though pour-over does take several minutes - be patient - which means it cools a little in the process - so pre-warm your cup if u can Easy to pack whether flying, staying in hotels, hiking, or just at home. If you’re like me, hotel room coffee can be very disappointing! I take this as backup ALWAYS!

Neato Torpedo, but testing at home, the teabag does not stay well on a thicker ceramic mug, sunk a few bags. Wouldn't want to be brewing this on Denali. Needs some reengineering. Only enough Joes for one good strong 8 OZ Cup IMO 12 would be pushing it. Would work better in a thin metal cup or maybe something silicone????? No bueno having a slip and slide sitch on the AT Or PCT or even an ultralight overnight. I would soooo cry if I ruined my only coffee before the AM BM.
