Heavy duty casting is much stronger than the original plastic part it replaced. The zinc barrel end on my cable was smaller than the hole in the new handle so I cut a small piece of plastic gas line tubing from a chain saw and cut a slit to allow cabel to pass through and then it fit snuggly in the handle hole. I was so happy to get these!! The handle broke, I couldn’t put my feet up and snuggle with my loved one on our favorite loveseat. For some reason the new loveseats all have a console in the Middle. How is that a loveseat??? It’s supposed to have one on each side with snuggle space in the middle. Anyway I don’t need a new one thanks to this product. Literally took a few minutes. ... show more

I purchased this replacement handle for my Lazyboy couch recliner because the current plastic handle broke from constant use. Removing the original handle was a little tricky, but the installation of this new handle was very easy. And it’s worked very well, and such a better quality, that I ordered a second handle for the recliner on the opposite side of my couch.
