Check all your clearances and door shutting and opening properly before fully installing panel! Firstly I used plasti-dip blue luxury on the panels. I also used 1inch 5.25-6 inch speaker spacers on each speaker installed with 6.5 kicker ks speakers. No sheet metal cutting necessary with spacers!!! Originally I was going to use 5.25 skar speakers but they lacked the quality I wanted upon bench testing. I attached leds to the outside of the spacers via 12v blue leds with hot glue and electrical tape as a diffuser. Majority of this ordered from Amazon. Fits perfect. There is no cut outs template for window operation or door locks. Must line up old panel and cut your own. Use drill bit to start hole in middle ,work from there. The panel has to be mounted a few mm higher than the older panel was to allow for clearance of 6.5 speakers when shutting the door. 5.25 speakers shouldn’t have this issue. Overall great panel. Feels like good quality plastic. I used 1.5 & 2 inch hex screws to attach the panel along with some of the screws they provided. Start with drilling pilot holes through panel and sheet metal. These would work great with manual window car but if you have power windows you will need a spacer for the speaker to clear the window motor

Fits to 1983 Monte Carlo flawless. I used the supplied self taping screws to drill the speaker holes to fit the 6 1/2 speakers. No issues at all. I suggest a drill and some patience. Had them both installed in less than an hour.
