I have not camped in this yet. I will be in the next week or two, but i did set it up to be sure there were no missing pieces or tears and to add some water repellent to it just in case of leaks. There were a few reviews that stated leaks so i proactively added another coat just in case. I've never had a tent leak before so i am not concerned. This says for 12 people without mattresses will fit. Um no, Maybe 8 and that would be real tight. I love the 8 little pocket holders for random items. There are 4 pockets on the front and 4 on the back on the center divider between rooms. So lots of storage area and there is a hook for a light. My favorite feature is the full rain fly that allows you to completely seal the tent up except for the back end. I am using this tent for myself and i love space, so this gives me a bedroom and a living sitting area up front and then you have the awning for when you want to sit outdoors. Outdoors is where my kitchen and shower go. Its pretty spacious on the inside, was a little difficult putting up the first time because the instructions are absolutely horrible. But you will remember how to put it up after you see how it goes up the first time going forward. I could probably erect it myself but with difficulty I love the 3 doors which allow for some really nice airflow in the first room. The main door is quite large, and the 2 sides are pretty decent. All three doors have a screen that zips and another to close up and give privacy. Another favorite feature i love about this is the side bedroom windows with that half moon like awning window Not sure what that is called, but that is a really nice feature and makes things a bit more private and then you the large window along the back. Without the rainfly you have a really nice open top with mesh that lets a ton of light and air through. I have had a few tents and this is by far my favorite with the full rainfly. If i have issues once my camping excursions have begun, I will update this. But overall, this was a really good purchase "so far" . Love the tent ... show more

We love the space coming from a 6 person to a 12 person. Easy fluke insides to hold the two door ways and the mesh windows. They thought about the front lip top and put in extra steaks to help in it down to prevent tripping. The awning was a little difficult to understand in the directions but common sense will help. There's only three pockets inside the tent for storage and they're in the doorless part. Lots of hanging hooks for lanterns and hats but lack of overall storage. Good quality, it rained and stayed up, $189.99 is a great price for something that took first time erecting 45 minutes. Also great if you're under 6'5" in height on the inside. The media could not be loaded. This is the biggest tent I've ever purchased which will be housing myself, my 2 dogs and their 8 puppies in their kennels. Being homeless is tough enough so this should help make things a bit more relaxed! I keep trying to post videos but Amazon won't take them for some stupid reason and I hate just posting text without the proof to back up what is stated and to show quality. I will try to post more once I get it together as long as Amazon allows me to! Update: I tried to post another video, but Amazon is lame when it comes to them. I was only able to add pictures. The size is HUGE! Quality is better than Coleman! They give 2 extra poles for the windows in case they snap, 2 plastic pole holding things just in case as well as patches in case you get a hole(I've always just used gorilla glue tape). Coleman has never had spare parts or even patches in their tents. I'm so happy I saved for the monster size tent from this company rather than another Coleman. You also can stand straight up with room to spare. My 6'3" friend loves my 12 person tent more than his little 8 person Coleman tent! He told me he's jealous and now he wants to save up for one. Guess I picked a winner. Buy this tent and enjoy! The tent was a bit complicated to understand on instructions if you have never set one up like this, but it wasn't too bad and I did it mainly by myself as my friend is mentally challenged, but it would be loads easier with a few friends! Awesome tent!!! Very cool design, lots of windows and they all close up. If you set up the canopy you will have to take it down to close it up for those cold nights. Super easy to set up, only took minutes! If you've set up an easy up canopy, you can set this up no problem. I purchased the 6-8 person size and it fit two twin cabelas xl cots with plenty of walking room between the two cots. We preplanned our trip for no rain and did not have any, so I'm not sure about the waterproofing. However, description states it's only built for light weather, no heavy rains. Overall, the zippers are great quality and did not get stuck with use. It folded up nice and fit right back in it's case without difficulty. I will definitely recommend. I gave it a 4 star because it was only used on 1 trip so far. With good care, I'm sure this tent will last a long time. ... show more

    • NOT GOOD IN WET WEATHER!

Not water resistant on the sides. A small amount of rain will stretch the canopy and then water pools on the roof causing the tent to collapse under the weight of the water. The pockets are nice but it eats half the floor space needed for storage. Rain comes in every side especially around the zipper somehow even when the rain fly is zipped entirely around the tent. The floor comes even with the ground instead of having a lip of a few inches so if you're stuck in a storm that accumulates any water, it comes right through the walls. Design is terrible and as a frequent camper I recommend looking for a different tent and the walls have not been scotch guarded so if you want any hope of keeping rain out, you'll have to do it yourself or you could just buy literally any other tent and save yourself the headache of ruined possessions and indoor puddles ... show more
