  • Surprising!
Size: Classic Color: Sunset
I am honestly dumfounded. I've had multiple basses over the years from many different companies and have had vastly ranging experiences with them but I must say I have been pleasantly surprised by this instrument. It has a better setup than most basses I've had out of the box. Been playing for 16 years and this might be the best value I've come across. The luthier job to get a bass to this level of fret board polish and work would probably cost as much as this instrument did. I purchased this originally as a project instrument to pull the frets out and upgrade from the ground up but to tell the truth, I'm probably going to purchase a second one just to have because I'm that pleased with it. If I could rate higher than 5 stars I would. 12 out of 10 value for money in comparison to other options. The fretwork is phenomenal, running your fingers along the board you barely notice they're there. The neck is thin enough to be fast but thick enough to be sturdy. It's not like some other neck profiles that end up being more of a U. The nut is a little oversized for the instrument, which is an easy fix but I'm honestly not sure what it's made of. I've had cheap plastic nuts on basses before but this almost looks and feels like a graphtech style of material. The balance of the bass is body heavy, so it doesn't neck dive although the hard tail bridge is very light and I'm probably going to upgrade it. The pots feel smooth, need a little bit of tightening, no big deal there. The pickups are rock solid. Tldr; worth more than twice as much as it costs. Fantastic feel, surprising value. Recommended purchase. Also for some reason, I was sent a Glarry. Not complaining at all, it was one of my choices for conversion but it was twice the price of this one. I'm not giving it back 😁 ... show more

  • It's not perfect, but it's way better than a $70 instrument should be
Size: Classic Color: Natural
First off, this is not a perfect instrument. Mine had a ding in the back of the body, there are a few rough edges on the back of the neck that could've used more sanding, and there's buzz when you're not touching the strings. That said… how can a $70 instrument POSSIBLY be this good? It defies explanation. The thing arrived with a nearly perfect setup. There are no noticeable bad frets. Intonation was spot on. It just needed to be tuned and it was ready to go. The design is pretty good. I've always been wary of 6-string basses because of the wide neck, but the thin profile and satin finish on the back makes it very playable. The passive pickups don't have a ton of output, but the sound is very clean and pure, even with the stock strings. The included accessories are kind of pointless, especially the paper-thin gig bag, but surprisingly the included 1/4-inch braided cable works great. And honestly… I appreciate the fact that there's no decal on the headstock. (In fact, there are no markings of any kind on either the front or back.) Yes I'd probably be a bit embarrassed to show up at a rehearsal or a gig with an instrument with the ugly logo of some no-name knockoff brand on the headstock, but the plain and simple look of this bass is really great. It's not going to replace any kind of high-end, or even mid-range instrument, but this is reasonably well-built, ridiculously well set-up, and very playable bass. So it's perfect for anyone who is just curious about what a 6-string is like. ... show more

  • This plays and sounds incredible!!!
Size: Upgraded Color: White
The strings sound awesome! It feels light and wayyyy easier to play than I thought it would being a Six string. I'm still not sure the price is so low because the quality is incredible. I highly recommend!

  • Great value
Size: Classic Color: Natural
I am very happy with this purchase. The instrument is nice looking and arrived in good condition. After some bridge adjustments (with the supplied tool) the bass plays nicely and has a good sound. Even though it is very light weight it has good sustain and balance. I have been playing bass for 50 years this guitar is a nice guitar. ... show more

  • You get what you pay for.
Size: Classic Color: Sunset
I would definitely rate this axe a 5 star, if not for the volume it produces through my amp. The volume controls leave a lot to be desired. Backing off the knob from full volume just a little and you have no volume, on either pickup. That being said, I am sending it back for a replacement. Normally I would not replace anything I am not happy with, but this guitar has a ton of great stuff built into it that makes it worth investing in. The build is exceptional, the fit and finish is outstanding, the neck is perfect, no fret buzz, no sharp frets. Playable right out of the box, other than the volume issue I just love it. Playability is right spot on. Tune it up and go. I was concerned about the neck width, which is no problem. So fell at ease should you desire to invest in this guitar. I will write another review when the replacement arrives. I was not offered a replacement, just a refund. So I did another purchase of a like bass guitar. The first guitar I received must have been put together by an employee that took pride in his or her work. because it was nice. The replacement or second one was not so perfect and assembled by someone their waiting on a paycheck. Several flaws in the wood, runs in the cleaar coat, same volume problem, After two hour of messing with it, it was playable but not what I wanted, so another trip to the UPS store for a return, Once bitten, twice shy. • Perfect
Size: Upgraded Color: White
All of the electronics work well, the body is cheap and light wood, but the neck is really dense and sturdy. It has two trussrods, awesome. It holds tune, new strings will ofcourse need to be worked in. It's not really worth upgrading, but, you can get a fretwrap to help with your muting/dampening, You'll get more value buying pedals/an amp combo with nice tone modeling than if you upgrade this bass, Since any pedals you buy and such can be plugged into your next bass when you find the "perfect one". This is the best value if you want to try 6 string but not sure yet what you want in a 6 string. It'll be easy to resell as well if you want to get some cash back later. It sounds good, it could sound better, but it sounds great and does everything you need to sound atleast good and decent ... show more
