This is an "Excellent" keyboard "for the price", it is an "Excellent Value". I have been a "hobbyist/semi-pro" musician...since I was very young (I'm now retired). I have owned many "professional" keyboards and synths through the years, so I do want to clarify some things (after reading other reviews). The ONLY thing that falls short are the "built in sounds" (which is why I give this a 4 star rating), there are a "few" sounds, that I would not hesitate to use "on stage". That said, most people have computers/phones or pads that they use, where they can easily (and cheaply) download "very high quality sounds for free". I purchased this "Electric Piano", because I wanted a full 88 keyboard, & had limited space. I have professional recording software, all I needed was a "decent" keyboard with "MIDI", because I am a "Guitarist", I did not feel that my piano skills "justified" a "professional" quality keyboard. I was not sure, that I would be happy with the "semi weighted keys" (which are slightly narrower than a regular piano), but I found, this keyboard has a "nice feel to it" they "feel better" than most of the "professional" synths & midi controllers I have owned, and I am "happy with it". If having a more "realistic feel" is important to you, I would recommend paying the additional money for the "heavier" weighted keys (you will have to pay more for the shipping because of the extra weight). As far as the complaints about the sounds go, if you were to buy a "professional" 88 key keyboard with the "Hammer weighted" keys, it would NOT come with ANY sounds, built in speakers, nor foot pedals and would cost you well over $300. If you are a "performer" this is the direction you should go, because you will "need" a keyboard that is "designed" to be "hauled around". This keyboard is designed for "home use" and for beginners, and I honestly think that Ktaxon has done an "Excellent" job, doing just that. This piano is genuinely really good for the price, The quality is decent, the pedals work perfectly, semi-weighted keys is understandable (considering the price.) I've actually been able to start learning piano with this. This is the perfect starter piano for the price point. I decided to write this because the other reviews didn't seem very informative, so, here you go. If you want to learn classical piano, but can't afford fully-weighted keys, this is for you.

Needed a basic 88 key piano with a touch sensitivity and it has it! I'm happy that it also comes with sustain, headphones, keyboard dust cover, etc. Although I had to pay 30 bucks for shipping, it came in literally the next day. Fast shipping. Really nice value for what it's worth, looks really nice and it works the best on that low a price. It's a bit heavy, so be careful bringing it into the house alone.

this is a good piano i using for midi instead of the default sounds so no problem there only reason im giving it 4 instead of 5 is the 3 pedal are not working on my unit. with the midi or with the default sounds. other than that i love this.
