It isn’t bad. It definitely does the job. The mark won’t fully go away but it will make it far less visible and also secure it in the process so it doesn’t crack or crack further. I see people on here giving it a bad review when they are trying to use it for huge cracks on their windsheilds… that’s not what this product is for, it’s for small dings. If your windsheild has a big crack in it then you need to replace your windshield as this product won’t do it justice. I had a small ring on mine and the photos I posted speak for themselves. Used this on two different vehicles, first my truck, had a small star chip. Was able to make it more or less disappear, only visible in direct sunlight when inside the truck. Second vehicle was a smaller suv with a long crack along the lower front window. It didn't really do good in this situation, nor did I have high hopes. The suction power is just to finite to handle anything but a small chip/crack. I did do as others suggested and used the plunger outside, while inside using a rubber hose line to suck more pressure, drawing the glue deeper into the crack. For the price it is a good cheap fix until you can afford to replace. ... show more

This saved me a lot of money, 15 min. and my chip was repaired. My order came the next day and it was very simple to use and it worked great! I was able to repair the chip before it started splintering. It has been a few days since the repair was done and my car has been in the sun and it is still all good! My family and friends have used this windshield repair kit for minor rock chips a few times and always have had great results. Now we keep a couple on hand just incase we get a ding in the windshield during those times of the year that it gets freezing at night but warmer during the day. If you don't get your windshield fixed right away, one night like that can turn that chip into a crack clear across the glass. Therefore, keeping a box or two on hand is a good investment for us. ... show more

This worked almost perfectly. I had a crack/ding on my windshield from a flying rock. The damage wasn't too large (maybe the size of a dime), but unfortunately, it was in my line of sight. Instead of paying the local window shop $75 for a repair or more for a replacement, I figured I'd give this a try. I was pleasantly surprised with the results. The crack was completely filled in, and all that remained was a tiny chip (I could probably get that out, too, if I reapply the process, but I didn't want to mess with near perfect success). Best to do this as soon as possible after getting the damage and you must follow the directions for success. There are a few steps, but it isn't difficult at all. ... show more

A product has to be absolutely amazing for me to take the time to write a review. This is one of those products. About 6 weeks ago, I got a very small stone chip in my windshield. At first I thought it was a bug splat. When I went to wash the windshield, a tiny stone was actually stuck in the chip. I called around to get a price on fixing it - - average was $175. While looking for something else, I saw this kit - decided to buy it and give it a try. The chip did not produce a 'star', but there was a hole. I was concerned with winter approaching and the defroster being used, that it just might spread on me. I followed the directions, and the repair has made the chip all but disappear.....there is just a TINY pinhead size white spot left - under the surface - maybe I did not get a tiny bubble out. I'm not going to scrape it out.....I'm satisfied. Don't believe those on here that complain. The Resin is a liquid that only hardens when exposed to UV. Once you get the cracks filled and remove the suction cups, you apply a few drops of resin and quickly place the plastic curing strips, rubbing a finger over the resin to smooth it out. I taped my strip down with painters tape at opposing ends. Mine was cured when I checked it 20 minutes later. I peeled off the strip and started scraping, making sure to keep the razor blade at 90 degrees. When the resin is removed from the area all around the chip you filled, you are done. It's simple! If you have a chip or crack, before you go to a shop, give this product a try - you will not be disappointed. OH.......I have a friend who had a chip repaired at an automotive glass shop....my repair looks way better than the one he had done!! ... show more
