    • Good for more than locking bikes
I use it to keep my dog from wandering off as I don't have a fence and live in the forest. She had previously chewed through every other cord or leach I tried to use. This is 30 feet long and give her plenty of space to move and I bought 2 so can give her up to 60 feet. It is so strong that my dog cannot even chew through the plastic coating. This product is very well made and I am completely satisfied and imagine it would work very well for bikes and motorcycles as well given how totally determined and successful my dog has been at destroying everything else I have tried. ... show more

    • Perfect length
I have used Kryptonite products in the past, and I was pleased with their quality. This is no exception. Before I bought this 30 ft cable, I had a $1000+ bicycle stolen from in front of my suburban house in a good neighborhood, while I was in the house. With my new bike, it is either in my sight, or it is attached to this cable. The cable attaches to the back of my garage. It is long enough that I can bring the bike to my driveway to wash it, and feel like I can go in and out of my house without being fearful that the bike will be gone when I return to it. It is a good solid cable. Like any security device, it can be breached with time and the right tools. But it will certainly keep the "grab and run" thief from stealing the bike and making his getaway in less than a minute. ... show more

    • Very good security cable. It will do the job.
30' is a long cable. Probably could have gotten away with something a bit shorter, but I'll keep. Appears to be well made and durable. I will have to see how it goes over time. Loops are big enough to allow you to loop an end through which is a nice feature.

I ordered this to be able to lock up our bikes to do some random hiking while on a long ride. It works great and is long enough to lock up both bikes and allows me to feel secure while the bikes are out of sight.

    • Cuts like butter XD
Bike is still there thank god due to cameras, the other lock (ulock), or them getting interrupted by me or a neighbor. Not sure. But here's the thing. I've only ever had to cut a bike lock once. It was a cheap generic cable lock. I felt like the brand name bolt cutters were really more chewing it than cutting. It looked mangled. I thought that was the purpose of a cable lock. Be malleable so that its hard to actually cut it and slow them down. The cut on this thing is so clean I can just imagine them walking up and snipping it like scissors through paper. Shrug. This might be good to secure patio furniture from drunks or something. Anything else, hard pass. ... show more
