Good ball joints

    • Kryptonite is turning into trash, plain and simple
After having the issue with the Kryptonite upper ball joint bolts stripping at 20lbs+/- torqe (huge red flag, should have backed out then), both lower ball joints have somehow lost thier zerks. Yes they were installed properly, no they were not left loose. I tried to thread in new ones on the vehicle but they spun. Upon removing, the upper threads of the zerk hole were gone. Took my trusty, cheap pocket knife out to scrape a little debris out of the way and part of the ball joint housing chipped away... read that again- THE BALL JOINT HOUSING CHIPPED AWAY. Guess what else? That "No fine print, you break it, we replace it" warranty is a flat out lie. Stay away from Kryptonite products. They are not heavy duty in any way except appearance and their marketed warranty is a lie. I have an entire Kryptonite front end and so far all ball joints have had massive failures of installation components or product itself, either upon installation or within 1000 miles Needless to say, I've put Moogs back on. Edit 4/25- Still no response from Kryptonite and I've been blocked on all their social media for a while now. ... show more

Overall quality seems great, but my brand new ball joint came with a torn boot. Called Kryptonite and after sharing photos, they said they didn't warranty boots! It was brand new out of the package!?!?!? So much for their no fine print cover "everything" warranty.
