After looking at many other backpacks that are essentially the same, I found this one. This backpack has many compartments, each with its own zipper. The number of pockets on this bag has been amazing. There is a padded back pocket for a laptop, ipad and paperwork, 4 additional zippered pockets in front and 4 small zippered pockets on the side. There is also a zippered pocket in the back against your back, to keep your valuables (Passport, currency etc.). It has a built in usb cable for a battery charger and very comfortable padded shoulder straps. I have been able to organize everything so it is way easier to find stuff. It does a great job of protecting my 17" laptop and my iPad. I first bought and used it for a trip to Portugal and it was very comfortable and usable. I also love the 2 large side pockets for water bottles. I tend to have a larger one with me and most bags I tried do not fit it. But this bag holds larger and smaller ones perfectly. So far the construction of it is great. The zippers are easy to use. The handle at the top is strong and perfect. The straps have just the right amount of padding too. The zippers are very tuff and of quality. The protected pocket up top is great for sunglasses. I highly recommend. Great product and very sturdy. Some cons I found over time were the metal zippers can be a little noisy but I’d rather have strong sturdy zipper pulls than plastic or rubber ones that would wear faster. The only other issues I had was that if it isn’t really full it doesn’t sit flat to well. It tends to fall forward or backwards. I just always make sure it’s propped against a wall or something nearby. Definitely not worth losing a star over. ... show more

I love this backpack, even though empty it is heavier than other backpacks! There is plenty of space and it even holds my full size laptop and 10 in iPad Pro with room to spare! One of the best features are the 4 side pockets and not just one, but two elastic water bottle carriers! The strap on the back, allowing for you to put it on a carry-on suitcase handle while trasitioning the airport is a plus as well. This backpack is very sturdy and will take a beating. Also, the handle on the top of thebbackpack is a reinforced steel braided rope (see pic) 📷 The only thing that I do not like is that the wiring for the PowerBank is NOT USB 3.0 and charges slowly 🐌 I am working to find a cord that is 3.0 and will also fit in the molding on the side of the back pack. ... show more

I have been using a Swiss Gear for years. It is finally got the point where I needed to replace it. I was going to get another one but this caught my eye and the price is way better. I am never one to switch easily so this was a challenge for me. Once I received it I had to clean out my old one and put stuff in this one. It has way more room them my old one. The number of pockets on it has been amazing. I have been able to organize everything so it is way easier to find stuff. It does a great job of protecting my 17" laptop and my iPad. Plus all my extra IT gear that I carry around now it much easier to store. The fold down feature makes getting my laptop out a breeze. So far the construction of it is great. I really like this backpack. I bought it for when I ride my motorcycle to work. I now use it daily even without the bike. Big enough for my laptop, lunch bag, Contigo travel mug, cables, keys, glasses. The pockets abound. One selling point for me was the chest strap connecting the two shoulder straps was long enough to use when I had my motorcycle jacket on. The pack has quite a few nice visual touches, red tabs at the end of the zipper run. There is a steel cable anchored at the top which is part of the top handle. So here's the deal. I fly 4 times a week. I am very picky on luggage. This back pack is like a backpack on steroids. I am very much particular on whether I give 5 stars or not. This bag hits the spot. All of the storage is spread out perfectly. The zippers are very tuff and of quality. I have one very small concern, but not enough to affect the rating. And that's that the backpack is pretty big. Likw real big. If you fill the bag up as much as you can you will not fit it under the seat in front of you on the plane. I don't fill mine to capacity and I had a little trouble placing it under the seat in front of me on the plane. But man this thing is pretty nice. All of the compartments are perfectly located on the bag. You can tell it is a bag that will last. It's big and comfortable. From a guy that travels a ton. I like to be able to not check a bag unless I have to. And this bag you can put all of your clothes for a week, shower bag, laptop, and tons of others little things, and travel with just this bag only. I highly recommend. This may be my last back pack. I love it. But damn it's huge! ... show more

I replaced a years old Ful backpack with this one. Unfortunately, the new version of the Ful backpack had less pockets. I wanted to make sure I had a side pocket for a bottle of water. This backpack met my needs although some of the negative reviews were a concern. I am not seeing any of the quality problems that were noted on prior negative reviews. I've only had it for a couple of weeks so it's hard to rate the durability. The only negative so far is that some of the pockets are too deep. I would prefer a couple of shallow pockets for penlights, tyluses etc. The protected pocket up top is good for eyeglasses. Some people it noted that it did not protect things. Yes, I guess if you stand on it it won't. But in almost every day use it should be sufficiently sturdy. ... show more
