This was an upgrade to a basic kreg pocket hole jig I had gotten years ago. Nice upgrade, and very easy to use. Have used on 3 projects so far, with no issues.

Very easy to do two sides as long as you could fit into 1 1/2” opening, all done successfully. I wanted to do a pocket on the narrow side but much larger than the 1 1/2” opening, so I could not use the full jig. From the jig, I measured what height of the extractable pocket hole guide from the floor of the jig based on width wood. I then extracted pocket hole guide, placing an accurate metal block at the bottom then heavily clamped the jig manually at the raised position centered on middle hole, then successfully drilled the hardest pocket hole. I wish this was easier.

🙋♀️Female diy’er (for other ladies out there who can relate), hope this review is helpful. I appreciate this came WITH an actual instruction manual, so many products now just send a stupid qr code or website and NO one wants to go through all that! So thank you👏👏👏 I thought i’d try to make a shallow drawer with some scrap wood, board, and this jig. I was very happy with the result and thought the jig was very easy to use. *I went with this kit because it seemed most versatile for my set up and types of projects. I recommend going to the kreg website and looking at the product comparison chart to see the differences between each jig BEFORE buying. You dont want to end up with tools you dont find useful or or the wrong design for your projects.* I also bought the separate clamp thinking i needed to, by the time i realized i didn’t, it was too late to return 😖. So that stinks. Otherwise i’m happy with my purchase and look forward to future projects☺️

To start, I refinish furniture and am a DIYer so can't speak for finish carpenters. However, this tool makes what I do much better. I practiced on lots of scrap pieces and watched several YouTube videos for tutorials on optimal drill settings and other practical tips to minimize wasting wood. I don't care for the face clamp that comes in this kit, as other reviews mention. I did get a 90 degree claw clamp which I think serves me better in building boxes. Anyways, I've used this to create new tops for furniture pieces and bottom support for older/worn out pieces. I appreciate the strength of screws holding pieces together, as many antique furniture pieces use nails. Most of my materials are softer woods, and I'm finding those screws are harder to find locally. Amazon will likely continue to be my ordering source for those.

I am a beginner when it comes to woodworking, so I didn't think I'd "earned" this step up version. For 2 years I was working with the most basic single Kreg jig option until I bought this one. I wish I'd bought it sooner!! Totally worth the money on the time it saves you, ease of use, and just better/more consistent holes it helps you create. I've been blowing thru my projects now much faster than before. All holes are drilled perfectly. No complaints.
