  • Works great and collets a lot of dust
This is a tool I’ve wanted for a long time but kept putting it off because of the price tag. I’ve only used it a couple of times but it’s worth the money so far. It’s very easy to use, the cut is very clean, and the sawdust bag works really well so cleanup is minimal in comparison to my table saw. It will work even better when I hook up a vacuum to it. I’m happy with the value of this purchase. ... show more

  • Follow Instructions
This is the first track saw I have bought and used. I was skeptical about how the saw would fit on the track. It uses adjustable front and back bumpers instead of set screws. This makes adjustment accurate and easy to fine adjust. The saw slides accurately with no perceptible resistance when set up. Plan to make several passes and for scraping off the plastic knurls left by the cuts. The blade has a smoother cut than my Dewalt table saw and my porter cable circular saw. I don't feel comfortable just laying the track on stock without clamps. One indicator that the stock has shifted on long cuts is increased difficulty pushing the saw and the saw sounding like it is bogging down. The dust bag collects 95% of the sawdust. It is the best sawdust collector I have ever used. The depth adjustment locking bolt requires a fair amount of torque to lock in place. The saw will cut through the table halfway through a 41" cut if not enough torque is used to lock the depth in place. The saw is relatively quiet compared to my other saws. The saw I recieved sounds different than my other saws. It sounds a bit like marbles in a rotating can- a sure sign of faulty ball bearings in my bikes. ... show more

  • Great tool for the price!
This track saw system works like the high priced saws at a price I could afford. Accurate, clean cuts. Dust collection using the bag is great. Fills fast though so you need to empty it often. When using vacuum dust collection, I'm really impressed. Bought the additional track to rip a full eight feet. Had to buy the connection bars separate. Kreg missed the mark on this. Should have been included with the extra track. One other issue is that the set screws for the track connectors are a different size (smaller) than the other screws used on the saw. No place to store the extra wrench. I'll eventually drill out a tap the connectors so I can use set screws that use the same size as the wrench stored in the saw handle. Stupid design mistake on Kreg's part. Other than those very minor issues, the track saw and the track is great. I've used it several times to break down 3/4" plywood into a size I can better handle on the circular saw. Also used it to make quick finished cuts for projects. Very happy. ... show more

  • All good, one item not resolved.
Great saw, makes sharp cuts. Relatively easy to set up and use. Only reason I did not give it 5 stars is due to the anti-kickback mechanism not working on my unit or I haven’t been able to figure out despite following instructions and watching official videos.

  • Outstanding saw
Outstanding saw ft the price… used it over the weekend to break down a sheet of plywood… much easier than the table saw and more accurate than the skill saw Ups dropped the ball on the delivery… had to pick it up at the post office.. driver left a note in my mail box saying it was to big to fit in the mailbox….. sad ... show more

  • A Must for a novice cabinet maker
I purchased this track saw to make built in cabinets for my new home. I have spent a few hours everyday in the garage crafting my new office, living room and laundry room cabinets. I also purchased a table saw, thinking I would use this track saw to cut boards close the the right size and use the table saw for accurate cuts. It turns out a table saw costing a little more than this track saw is not worth purchasing. This track saw does everything I needed to make my cabinets. So far this is my favorite shop tool. All I have truly required to make my cabinets are. 1. Track Saw 2. Router for making Rabbets. My cabinets need to 10ft tall 3. Sliding compound Miter Saw - Didn't really need this but it was my very first tool and came in handy for repeated cuts. I hate returning products so I will keep the table saw but I wish I had saved the money and purchased a big table saw once my shop is built as I have used the track saw effectively for everything I thought I would use the table saw for. ... show more

  • Very underpowered
Not sure if mine is defective, but it often stalls when cutting. The motor just bogs down in the blade stops turning I have to pull it back up start it, and then plunge it again. The build quality seems pretty good. I would recommend spending a bit more and getting a Milwaukee or Makita. I might even try the Wen since it’s so inexpensive. ... show more
