Features

  • Table saws are designed to rip stock parallel to the fence or cross-cut stock at various angles with a miter gauge. Making long rip cuts at angles from 1 deg to 15 degrees on a table saw without a jig can be challenging and dangerous attempting free hand.
  • The Fulton Taper Cutting Jig has been designed to make long rip cuts at angles from 1 deg to 15 degrees using your table saw. Perfect for building woodworking projects like table legs, chair legs, magazine racks and more where slight tapers are common.
  • Our taper jig will most certainly enhance your woodworking abilities and your woodworking projects. This easy to use jig is fully adjustable for right or left hand use. As well as its ability to work on either the left or right side of your table saw fence.
  • Two ways to set the jig. First use the scale that has markings up to 15 degrees of taper. Second mark the starting cut at one end and then mark the exit cut at the other end of your piece of stock. Then simply adjust the taper jig to match those two marks.
  • Constructed of durable aluminum the Fulton Taper Cutting Jig comes with an easy grip handle, adjustable 24 inch rails with fixed stop, easy-to-read graduated scale that measures 0 to 15 degrees of taper (or 3 inches per foot) and full instruction sheet.

  • Good Budget Solution
Simple design, but surprisingly effective. I purchased to make some simple angled cuts and it worked perfectly. The only alternative I could see to this would be either an expensive one by one of the higher end brands or making one myself. And I don't know that anything I made in the shop would have been much better. My only complaint is the hardware can slip if you don't get it tight. I might try to either replace a screw or two. Or maybe figure up a block I can clamp in. Still, it is a good solution at an inexpensive price. ... show more

  • Very heavy duty....a real good item for the price.
My husband is a woodworker, and he is very happy with this taper cutting jig. He, in the past, has cut table legs without it, but it was a crap shoot, and dangerous. He's got a contract to make 14 tables, and this is making his job much easier.

  • Functional but nothing special to raise the rating.
Are rather flimsy. Not the easiest things to use. Functional but not much more. Good for someone that needs a onetime tool. Not for someone that needs it regularly.

  • Easy to use
Prefect for those repetitive angle cuts.

  • A great, uncomplicated saw sled.
My rating is so high, not because this sled's complexity, but because of it's simplicity and the function it performs. As long as the material you're shaping doesn't exceed the length of the sled, this is the only type of device that will do the job. Very easy to adjust, although it takes 3 additional minutes to switch between left and right hand cuts. Easy to understand directions and uncomplicated design using materials that will stand prolonged home shop use. ... show more

  • Light duty
Nice little jig for relatively small size pieces of wood. Keeping it under 3 feet is safe to handle. I run it dry (blade down machine off) for a test run making sure I'm on target. Cut slow. Works well.
