I LOVE ordering Korean skin care products. I get excited every time I discover a new skin care product that meets (or exceeds!) my needs. I just wish the manufacturers would consider that when they are exporting their wonderful products to the US, that they settle on a mix of English as well as their native tongue so we can appreciate the instructions too. So the reason I was obsessed with ordering this “ampoule” is because it totally looked like a bottle of really classy nail polish. Look at all of the blue! I had to know! Upon receipt, it’s actually more of an extra-deep bottle that’s also a classy pump (please see my photos). It looks absolutely stunning on my makeup stand next to my other gold-colored, dropper-based serums. As far as what’s inside, it’s a very nice consistency that is relatively light and not too greasy. There is a pretty overwhelming coconut scent, and whether that’s an added fragrance or actually one of the active ingredients is not something I can tell you as it is not revealed anywhere on the product labeling. I can report that I have somewhat sensitive skin and I had no adverse reactions to this ampoule product. On that note, I decided to finally look up the dictionary definition of “ampoule” in regard to skin care and found this: “An ampoule is a type of treatment that contains highly-concentrated skincare ingredients.” Wouldn’t you expect them to brag about these highly-concentrated ingredients on the label like most others? I like a lot about this serum. However, I hadn't noticed that the last ingredient is coumarin and that's not a great ingredient and it's something I want to avoid so I wouldn't purchase this again. Do your research on ingredients and decide if that's something you're okay with. Other ingredients besides that look ok.

I really like this Korean ampoule lotion! It's very fresh smelling and it's highly concentrated so you don't need to use a lot of the product on your face - a little pump goes a very long way, even on dry skin! The lotion absorbs very well into skin and I found that it is best applied with a jade roller or gua sha after double cleansing and toning to ensure that your skin is fully absorbing and benefiting from the product, and it leaves my face feeling very hydrated and soft throughout the entire day. It also works very well when worn under makeup, and it does not feel too heavy or oily on the face which helps to keep the pores clean and unclogged. My favorite feature of this ampoule is that it's 100% natural, it's cruelty-free and it is free of parabens, so you know you exactly what you are putting onto (and into) your skin. You receive a good amount of lotion in the bottle which will last a good while since the product is highly concentrated (note: the shelf life for this product is 12 months), and the pump on the bottle works very smoothly to dispense the perfect amount of product. The price point is absolutely aligned to the good quality, and I will definitely be trying other products from this seller in the future!

This intensive ampoule arrives in a lovely blue pump bottle that coordinates with the packaging of other KOY products in their Intensive line. The pump works well and dispenses a pleasantly scented thick creamy serum that absorbs into skin while also providing a barrier to prevent moisture from escaping it. We're not quite into the height of the dry cold season here, so right now for me this is an over-the-top amount of hydration that I only use at night. It's currently just too much for my skin during the day, leaving it a bit sticky/greasy feeling. I do however very much like this as an intensive night treatment for areas that I know are particularly prone to dryness. I'm sure this will change as the weather turns and I need all the extra hydration I can get. There's a good amount of product that should last quite some time, especially if used sparingly or in a targeted manner. My particular bottle has an expiration date of October 2025.

This is absolutely divine! It is a thicker gel serum texture. It feels so soothing and comforting. Incredibly moisturizing but still lightweight. (I hate the feeling of putting a lot of heavy stuff on my face, so I LOVE Korean skin care bc it is super lightweight, absorbs well, and is also gentle for sensitive skin). This made my skin feel plump and springy! Gave a gentle glass skin sheen. Less redness, more even skin tone, less visible pores and wrinkles (bc of the plumping hydrating action). So far I’ve just used it overnight, a medium amount over spritzed toner / essence, without any extra moisturizer over it. Maybe I will try only a tiny amount in the daytime, and see if it absorbs quickly enough to play well with my spf and tinted moisturizer. I think there’s a very faint scent but it disappears quickly. My skin loves it. Will definitely look for more from this brand!
