I’ve had this tray for a couple of years now and it’s just beautiful, still as beautiful as the day I received it. The felt dots on the bottom definitely prevent it from sliding or slipping around, and they also prevent the tray from scratching whatever surface you place it on. In my case, I have it on an antique wood side table, and it hasn’t damaged the table at all (although to be fair, I’m not moving this tray for any reason other than to dust).
