I purchased these for my granddaughter. She's 13 now, and being a girl she needs a place for her tips, cotton rounds, and other girlie things. I bought this set because it came with 6 jars (instead of 4) for around the same price as the sets with only 4. I figure who couldn't use the additional 2 jars?!?! Girls always need extra storage (or her mother or sister will). They are a perfect "bathroom" size, the lids are cute and fit nice, and I'm excited for her to get them. These are a great way to hold Q-Tips, cotton balls and flossers. They look like glass sitting on a countertop, but are actually plastic. The plastic is sort of sturdy, as in it easily stands up to everyday use but I don't think it would handle a fall from the counter to the ground.
